FYI / FWIW to those on the register who expanded their GAL preferences in 11/09, you might be receiving a notice from SSA today, so check your e-mail.
Background: I took the WD in 11/08, SI in 12/08, and interviewed with SSA in 3/09. I scored well but got no offer, likely because my GAL preferences were very limited. In 11/09 I amended my GAL to basically say I'd go anywhere.
Today's Action: I just received a "NOTIFICATION TO ALJ CANDIDATE" from SSA. ("We are pleased to inform you that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has certified your name to the Social Security Administration's Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) for the position of Administrative Law Judge (ALJ), AL-3.") It appears substantially unchanged from the notice I received in 3/09 and includes the same attachments (Interview and Background Questionnaire, Background Questionnaire Consent and Release Form, Summary of Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Declaration for Federal Employment / OF-306, and GAL).
Good luck, all.

I received a similar message and had greatly expanded my GAL in November. I had been on the two previous certs so had completed all the ancillary documents.
Has anyone else been requested to re -submit the Personal History Form and other documentation?

This would be (hoping!) my third cert to SSA, for my second I only had to complete the GAL.

Interersted and tab58, just curious how many offices on your prior GALs?

I got the cert, but with my old GAL list, which I expanded at the last opening of the register, and got a confirmation from OPM. Any thoughts on who to contact to address that?
(Edit: I also have to fill out all the forms again)

I received the notice but did not expand my GAL (what can I say, I'm fussy.) Since they are not interviewing people who have already interviewed (I did last spring,) I guess it's just more sitting and waiting. I will not get my hopes up just to have them smashed to the ground. I will not get my hopes up . . . Good luck all.

Thanks PF. I contacted SSA by phone (one of the individuals listed on the recent cert notification) who replied that they just go by what OPM sends them, and that I would have to go through OPM. So I sent OPM an e-mail (ALJ application help desk - the same entity that got the GAL change form), and got an auto-response that they are "working on a reply." I also forwarded them their confirmation of receipt of my GAL update. I was unable to find a name or phone number of an actual person.

Does anyone know if all of the cert notices went out today (based on past experience)?

Can someone tell me who to contact at ODAR regarding not being on the cert? Odar does not put together the cert. OPM does. Good luck.

Can someone tell me who to contact at ODAR regarding not being on the cert? Odar does not put together the cert. OPM does. Good luck. I know, but I'm following PF's advice to contact both OPM and ODAR. So, can anyone tell me the name and phone number of an ODAR contact or an email? Thanks

I have now received the ODAR email. It says that it was sent out at 7:29am today, but it did not show up in my in email until 6:48pm, one minute after I posted my last message in this thread. I have no idea why the delay, but if it happened to me, I imagine it could have happened to someone else.

I think they sent it to avoid having to talk with you on the phone.
