I have GCM and other files dating back over 30 years. I have self-scanned the lesser files.

I know it's certainly not quite as applicable, but when I was hired on at ODAR (knee OHA) nearly 30 years ago as an attorney, Personnell called me on Friday afternoon, after 4:30 local time (after hours for thier office time) to tell me if I wanted the job, I'd have to report at 7:00 a.m. the following Monday. IF I couldn't report then, they'd offer the job to someone else. who could.
Of course, that was back when OHA (now ODAR) was just a small, close-knit, warm friendly little agency. Now, they've gotten big and really impersonable.
Just thought I would add a little bit of sunshine to the thoughts in this thread. Fortunately for me, I had resigned from my previous position as of that date regardless of any offer from OHA (ODAR), and so was prepared to leave my former position, where the partners were truly friends and gentlemen and took what little caseload I had left without complaint (I had settled most of the rest which had any money in them). I have to admit they did get a few good clients out of the deal. As clients I wouldn't say they were the rainmakers, but perhpas they were the rentpayers.
I suspect the offers you get here will be much the same with all the same courtesy for your current situation and need to gracefully withdraw from your practice.
