Maybe I'm just kidding myself, but I am not willing to admit defeat yet. Yes, I had a low score. However, I am not going to call this done until I read this board and see folks posting about their interview scheduling only to later check my email account and find spam.

Well, actually, not all scores are in. Mine isn't.
I sent an email, or 2, to the ALJApplication help desk, but wonder if anyone has any suggestions for me. Perhaps an actual phone # to call? The help desk acknowledged my email inquiry, but has not yet responded with a substantive answer, or my NOR.
Thanks to MaxLaw for including the link to check on the application status. I did that, and it shows my application as expired. I applied in 2008, then appealed my notice on the AR, and got the green light to proceed to the WD and SI, which I completed in March 2010. I surely do not want to miss the cert., but without a NOR I'm out in the cold. Suggestions for a next step?

I withdraw my request for suggestions. My NOR just arrived, a day late, but much welcomed in any event.

38.97 and there was no written demonstration to rate. Due to laptop meltdown during my test on April 12 there was no written demonstration for them to rate. I am assuming I received a zero for the WD. That means my entire rating was based on the SI and AR. I have appealed, but to what end I am not sure. Yes, they can invite me back to take the examination. On the dubious day they mentioned the test was going to be given again in June. I don't see how that helps me with my problem as a cert will have gone out and I will still be waiting to take the WD. Perhaps I will have better luck in the next decade.

I have a slight bit of good news for all that did not score as well as they would have liked. I scored 83.25 and have talked to two colleagues who did better than I did. Because of other opportunities, it appears that neither of us will be competing for a position with ODAR. I doubt that we are the only ones, so the odds might be better than you might think. Best of luck to you all!

When you said your friends with higher scores have other opportunities, have other agencies made them offers or have the decided to remove themselves from the ALJ hunt?

One has already accepted a position with a firm. Myself and one other colleague have been presented with opportunties that make it unlikely we will go to ODAR.

thanks ladyatlaw. If the perfect position, working with great people comes up, then I may have to rethink! I'm glad people have different preferences and desires. It makes it more likely we'll all end up where we want to be. My best to all.

Is there any way to discover the methodology / basis for OPM's scoring in a particular case. For instance, would a Privacy Act request or FOIA request reveal this information? Has anyone actually attempted this in the past? If so, what was the outcome?
Thanks!
