Sorry Funky, I forgot that logic and reasonableness are not always a part of government decisions. However, in light of the hardship of those on Furlough Schedules, one can only hope that this might be different. If the goal is to complete testing and interviews in this fiscal year, having a Saturday morning SI would not be a bad decision.

If the goal is to complete testing and interviews in this fiscal year, having a Saturday morning SI would not be a bad decision. I feel your pain, jessejames. I hope that I only have to make one cross-country trip for the WD and LBMT, and can use my furlough day to do at least some of the trip. But that is wishful thinking. I go back and fourth asking myself if it is worth the expense when the chances of getting an ALJ position are low, but I think my curiosity may win out.
