Tonight, somewhere in DC be it a pub, bistro or huddled in a hotel room, the first brave warriors to go thru the written exams of this new process are dusting themselves off and steeling themselves for their SI tomorrow.
Good luck folks. If ye actions be bold, ye future be gold.
Without breaching any promised confidences and subject to your level competitiveness, those next in line would love any intelligence you can or care to give regarding testing conditions, your hotel, food or whatever.
I'm sure you all did as well as possible today. Sleep well, look sharp and dazzle the ba$tards tomorrow.

Good luck folks. If ye actions be bold, ye future be gold. Reading this thread brought back memories of when I went through the process back in 2008. For all the candidates this cycle who are about to embark on Phase Three, I toast to your success. As I couldn't find any fitting demotivational poster to wish you guys good luck. Here's a motivational music video:

Where is our like button? Not a fan of Kelly but love the songs and some of the covers that have followed. And one of my sisters, when I told her I was moving on to phase 3 but it was no big deal, told me that I should never down play my achievements. None of us should.

I believe exjag is up today for his WD and LBMT session and his SI tomorrow. Hopefully, he might post something useful regarding issues of space and what can be brought in to the room (food/drink wise). Good luck to all!

I took the WD/LBMT yesterday, finished up the SI this morning and now waiting for my flight to leave.
As reported every test is covered by a confidentiality agreement but I am more than willing to discuss anything but the actual exams.
One interesting tidbit is the room was only set up to hold a max of 32 people. Also I was able to bring in a water bottle, but had to keep it on the floor.
The room was COLD and I prefer cold! Everybody was complaining so maybe that will be addressed in the future. I was glad I had a fleece vest.
I packed a lunch so didn't have to line up at the small snack bar for lunch (the cafeteria is closed during the break and you cannot leave the building).
Also pack an umbrella. I did not and I had to sprint a block and a half with a newspaper over my head in order to buy one
Any other questions feel free to fire away.

How much space between you and your fellow mates taking the WD/LBMT? Is the set-up comfortable to type on? I assume the computers do not have spell-check or the ability to cut and paste? Lastly, what was the set-up in the SI portion? Did you sit at a table or just in a chair across from the three interviewers? Just a couple of questions that pique my interest.

Most of the tables fit two people. I was able to snag one of the few that only had a spot for one.
I am not a typists but the typists in the group were complaining about the set up after. Just a keyboard on a big flat table.

Not sure how much we can talk about the SI. When I was signing in someone asked how many panels would be running and they told him that they couldn't discuss anything about the SI. Which seemed a little silly since as soon as you checked in and walked around the corner you could see how many panels there were.

For the WD/LBMT how were people dressed?

A couple guys in suits, one guy in jeans and everyone else in various business casual. Same for the women - a couple in formal and the rest in business causal type clothing.
You can keep a backpack or bag with you but just cannot open it during the actual testing time.
