I think today's drink will go nicely with our heaping helping of spam on the board.

I think the next DOD (Drink of the Day) should be an Adult Rootbeef Float!

I'm thinkin a Manic Margarita. Essentially a regular margarita, but instead of salting the rim you use crushed valium.

Funky, that wouldn't make me manic -that would make me pass out!
To quote: " diazepam is used to treat anxiety, acute alcohol withdrawal, and seizures. It is also used to relieve muscle spasms and to provide sedation before medical procedures. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines which act on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce a calming effect"
The "used to treat acute alcohol withdrawal" caught my eye. Anyone who is partaking in the Drink of the Day and is actually the last one called by Bob may NEED valium! Ha!

I might have to make some vanilla ice cream spiked with something in my own machine - that's some fancy-pants ice cream for us crapland folks! You know, you can't make ice cream with too much liquor or the ice cream doesn't really freeze. Don't ask how I know..... long story, best told over sipping an adult rootbeer float!

If you use too much alcohol but nonetheless manage to freeze it, after mixing the float you could probably ice skate on the root beer.

Actually, I think this is a better drink:
Root Beer Float - Adult
The Root Beer Float drink is made from Smirnoff Root Beer vodka, Cointreau orange liqueur, cola and cream, and served over ice in a rocks glass. (I use icecream instead of ice.)

I don't drink root beer, or floats of any type, so I defer to the two recipe options for today's Drink of the Day: Adult Root Beer Float. Instead, I will have a glass of Sauvignon Blanc (the house summer wine, always available should you opt out of the Drink of the Day).

I'm with you Baglady - I don't like root beer and am not crazy about floats. So your alternative sounds much better!
