Maybe we should have the Drink of the Day about the openings left? For example, Chattanooga = something good with Jack Daniel's.

I don't drink root beer, or floats of any type, so I defer to the two recipe options for today's Drink of the Day: Adult Root Beer Float. Instead, I will have a glass of Sauvignon Blanc (the house summer wine, always available should you opt out of the Drink of the Day). For us delayed first or hopeful second certers, what're the house fall and winter varietals? The house red is Montepulciano; its understudy is Chianti.

My daughter and I went out for dinner to Red Robin last night. They have a Guinness shake that was nothing short of awesome. While it might not be a regular thing, it is near the top of my favorite drinks.

Two confirmed scores of 77 on the Cert 1 Offer Poll? Well, that makes for an easy Drink of the Day--the classic 7 & 7: Seagram's® 7 whisky 7-Up® soda Stir together in a highball glass filled with ice. Adjust amounts as preferred, and repeat as necessary.

I like sweet wines. MD 20/20 or Wild Irish Rose or even some classic Mogen David Grape can do the trick. But if I want something classier, is there a house dessert wine?

The house dessert wine is Icewine from Canada's Niagara Peninsula. We typically serve Inniskillin, but currently are offering Pillitteri.

Tomorrow is Christmas in July, and lots of good little girls and boys have received their gifts early! To celebrate with friends and loved ones, today's Drink of the Day is (are?) Christmas Slushies:
1.5 quarts cranberry juice cocktail 1 can frozen orange juice (defrosted) 2 cups vodka
Combine and freeze; use scooper to serve in a glass. Reading "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" is optional.

I would like to give this thread a twist, making it a triple threat. Not only is it a thread, but it can become a game and a poll.
Here is the poll: Will you hire me Bob?
Here is the game: predict Bob's answer and drink once for yes; twice for no.
It gets more fun the more frequently you ask the question.

No! To share!!! Silly boy! It looks like a single serving to me. Sounds like you're trying to engage in a little time traveling to the future. Finish drinking all that, and you'll find yourself instantly transported to tomorrow, and you'll have the added bonus game of trying to figure out why you woke up in the bathtub with one shoe on and but no pants.

After drinking one of these, reading *anything* is optional... but not probable. "Why is Daddy muttering in his sleep about Santa Bob and his eight tiny reindeer? And why is Daddy sleeping with a slushie in his hand?"

Remember, campers, a slurred "yes" is considered poor form...
... and could result in us down-certers litigating the question of whether you had the capacity to consent to hiring.

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas in July! Today's Drink of the Day is Christmas Ale, preferably from Great Lakes Brewery. If you don't reside in DC or one of the 13 states that can get this magical elixir, or if you failed to save a stash from last December, please celebrate with a Poinsettia, compliments of mamaru: 1 bottle prosecco 2 cups cranberry juice 1/2 cup cointreau Mix all ingredients in a pitcher, and serve over ice. I think cranberries would make a festive garnish.

If he ever wanders into this establishment make sure Bob never has to buy his own drink.

In honor of Funky's news today, here's the extra-dry martini I'll make this evening:
Pour 2 ounces of gin (Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, or other) over ice in a cocktail shaker. Holding the shaker in one hand and a bottle of vermouth in the other, wave the bottle of vermouth in the general direction of Italy and then put the vermouth away. Shake the cocktail shaker well and then strain into a martini glass with a thin twist of lemon peel (or, your choice, an olive).
Cheers, Funky!
