OMHA pulled the cert they are hiring from back in Late March. I thought these certs were only good for 90 days--perhaps it is 120 days but regardless, their cert is getting old and approaching 120 days. They are probably going to have to go get another one and reach more of the folks that did not make their first cert. But in the meantime they are probably stuck because they cannot pull a cert until SSA gets their hiring done. And if they do pull a second cert so will ODAR---they took way too long to process their hires.
Also, anyone care to guess why they have to get OPM approval and ODAR does not appear to have the same requirement? Seems that is also impeding them from hiring quickly.

I dunno anything about the cert "use by" dates. I suspect the OPM approval thing is just an agency decision. ODAR allows people to take the job and they do the OPM required background checks later, figuring only in rare instances will someone they hired fail the check and have to be removed. OMHA appears to have decided the background checks need to be done prior to an official offer.
Or I may be combining two separate and independent things and have it wrong.

I don't know anything about certs have an expiration date although that makes sense. I think there will be a window for OMHA to pull a 2nd cert after the first ODAR cert and before the 2nd. Based on the timeline that the next cert interviews will be in November. That would mean that they need to act quicker next time around. Honestly I hope there is a 2nd OMHA cert before the next ODAR cert. The more of you high scorers that can get hired out of the path of me the better.
