Sandi are you moving to Middlesboro, KY and filing a disability claim in order to see funky soon? (Just kidding). I am just sorry that I didn't make the first cert so I could have went to training with funky. As usual MPD has captured my feelings in his post. I too would like to have trained with Funky, if only to see the instructors squirm as they try to respond to one of his theories. Oh, and I'd really like to buy him a drink

I cannot believeI missed Funky Friday! I think everyone agrees it is well deserved and we all owe him a drink for helping keep us (mostly) sane during this ordeal!. Congrats Funky! If everyone who owes Funky a drink were in Falls Church when he trained, it would be a very long time before Funky sobered up.

Everyone just needs to chip Indonesia change to buy him "A" drink. That keeps the promise, and keeps him from being hung over (or still over the limit) in training.

Funky, I am happy you obtained an offer although sad you will remain only an honorary SCOBIE. Seriously if I had to be a claimant, I would be glad if I was before you. And I can also say if I were representing the other side, I would also be confident in your reaching a fair and thoughtful decision. Congratulations and thank you for sharing so much with us along the way.

I never check this board anymore, can't believe I missed Funky Friday! Congratulations Funky, I can't think of anyone more deserving! So happy for you! To make up for missing Friday, I offer the following. The original was a little funkier, but, I couldn't find Pigmeat Markham on YouTube.

Wow. This thread is too much for my ego guys. Can't tell you all how much I appreciate the congrats and support you folks have shown me.
After getting the call Friday, this huge weight if anxiety just miraculously lifted. But, staying on the board and seeing the next selections and those still waiting has me almost as nervous. My wife mentioned last nite that I seem almost as excited when one of you get an offer as when I got mine.
And many of you have told me where you want to go and I am obsessively watching the polls and confirmation posts hoping to see you land there.
Still trying to figure out anything I can about the second cert because I am so invested in many if the scobbies.
Again, thanks everyone and know that I'm pulling for you to cross the line too.

Gracious as usual brother, Funky, I expect nothing else from such a great person. You are truly unique and deserve the position. Now, do us proud in training and in carrying out your ALJ duties, which I am sure you will do.

Gracious as usual brother, Funky, I expect nothing else from such a great person. You are truly unique and deserve the position. ... Alright folks, it's getting a little deep in here. TigerLaw ... Look what you started. Sure enough Funky is a good guy, and he'll do quite well as an ALJ. But I doubt he walks on water ... yet. ... Then again, I could be wrong. (By the way Funky, if you truly can tread water with the soles of your feet, I'd like some lessons.) ht
