I was gonna let it slide Orchid - afterall, Arlington, Falls church, Alexandria, heck, throw in Ballston, Rosslyn and Clarendon for good measure, are all pretty close to an ALJ gig for a lucky bunch. It's all one big, friggin, traffic-snarled haven for feds and contractors. I'll take the northern Alexandria over Alexandria, LA anyday - anything outside of NOLA is camping. Don't mean to offend anyone... :-) I should have coffee before posting the city of the day:). Looks like we have only 11 more cities of the day from the first cert. I'll try not to screw up anymore, but I do hope we get news (and release) of the second cert before we get to San Juanprobably.

Alexandria is a city in and the parish seat of Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States.[1] It lies on the south bank of the Red River in almost the exact geographic center of the state. It is the principal city of the Alexandria metropolitan area (population 153,922) which encompasses all of Rapides and Grant parishes. Those crazy cajuns and their French Catholic traditions...

I guess we're only two weeks out from FY2015, though. Time is flying by this time (for me anyway). Football season definitely helps.

Don't you let them raz you, Orchid - You've been doing a huge job in service of keeping us entertained and chatting with each other as we listen to the sound of crickets emanating from the Puzzle Palace. Ok, so now we know about TWO Alexandrias - a double bonus day!

Ok, so now we know about TWO Alexandrias - a double bonus day! Thanks Luckylady 2:) If I am fortunate to make the second cert, I will know the cities (and states) without fail. Let's hope we hear some chirps from the Puzzle Palace. As I see it, the most important bits of intelligence we know are (1) the transfer list is being worked, and (2) interviews are "allegedly" taking place in November. Wish we had more confirmation on point 2. Perhaps our buddies in Falls Church will be able to provide some new intel this week!

Shreveport was the home of the Louisiana Hayride, the program on which Elvis Presley (the King of Rock and Roll) got his start.

You're 45 minutes from Port Isabel, Texas and the Gulf Coast. It's not Key West but it could be worse.

Creve Coeur /ˈkriːv ˈkʊər/[6] is a city located in west St. Louis County,Missouri, United States, in Greater St. Louis. The population was 17,833 at the 2010 census.[7] Creve Coeur borders and shares a ZIP code (63141) with the neighboring city of Town and Country. It is home to the headquarters ofMonsanto. The name crève cœur (French pronunciation: [krɛv kœʁ], heartbreak) derives from Creve Coeur Lake, which was named for the tale of a lovelorn Indian girl whose broken heart led her to suicide off the famous dripping springs.[8] Alternatively, it may have been named for the famous French-American philosopher Michel Guillaume Jean de Crèvecœur, who hypothesized on what is the true American.[citation needed]
