Wha??? I had no idea anywhere south of Maryland didn't have a Cracker Barrel. A guy I know who coaches college mock trial in California says his kids love coming to the South because they get to eat "Southern" food at Cracker Barrel. Don't worry G, there's loads of Cracker Barrels in Virginia, just not in C'ville. I think the closest one is about 20 miles away. Whew! This thread had me worried for a minute. I was gonna say, it beggars belief that there are Cracker Barrels in Connecticut and Rhode Island but NOT in Virginia. Hard to imagine that you could buy DVD box sets of old Westerns, and Duck Dynasty Christmas ornaments, in blue-blooded New England (and the Xmas ornaments even in mid-May), but could not do any of those things in Robert E. Lee's own home state ...

I used to frequent Manchester, NH many years ago, back when their ODAR shared a federal office building with the great John Sununu. What was unique about the 'Chester was that the hotel restaurant in the Ramada Inn was a Hooters. I mean, what OTHER restaurant would you put in a motel which sees lots of tourists and their young kids coming by for the fall foliage season? Fortunately for America's Manchester-visiting youth, I am told now that the Hooters is long since defunct.

Yes, I've seen several Cracker Barrels along I-95 in VA. I've also seen loads of Waffle Houses - I think there's one in Charlottesville for fans of those places. I'm not a fan of Waffle House, I've seen zombies in several locales along the Gulf of Mexico.

reviving this thread to share some of my research results on ODAR offices. This is across the street from an unnamed office. I've seen google blur out faces, but never any other distinguishing body parts.

Is that Akron?
Akron /ˈækrən/ is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Ohio and is the seat of Summit County. It is in the Great Lakes region approximately 39 miles (63 km) south of Lake Erie along the Little Cuyahoga River. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 199,110.[5] The Akron, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) covers Summit and Portage counties, and in 2010 had a population of 703,200.[5] Akron is also part of the larger Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Combined Statistical Area, which in 2010 had a population of 3,515,646.

I did a 360 and just thought the blurring was amusing. It was, however, late at night after a long day, so, I plead exhaustion.

We would play "who has the craziest family?" Reality is stranger than fiction, unfortunately. Haha! I wonder how many of us read your comment and immediately thought "I'd win that game for sure." um. me..... thank God, my immediate family is ok. it's the extended family.....

Eugene is home of the University of Oregon and their football team's crazy uniforms. The Pacific Northwest or the Mountain West offices are my family's dream locations. I was really jealous that Eugene and Spokane were on the last cert because that means they likely will not be on the next cert. To land one of these out of the gate would be pretty amazing. Oh well I assure you that any location on my GAL would get a huge affirmative if Bob ever calls with the good word. i met a really good looking guy in college who was from Oregon, Corvalis i think. Does that count for anything?? ah, those were the days
