Yes, use wax paper, a paper towel, or just stand by with a sponge to clean the splattered microwave, LOL!

I love this discussion about tomato paste in a tube. It makes me think that not too many folks would use their kitchenettes at the Residence Inn during ALJ training (although maybe the hotel will change by the time we get there...) Or would they be so happily surprised by the availability of a good range of ingredients in the DC area that they turn into amateur chefs? I am sure other classmates would be willing to taste test.

I applied to two cities. So far for one of my cities, my status has changed to "complete." Waiting on HR pending review for the other city. Guess they are working through the many apps

I applied to 9 cities and they all were marked "complete" about 3 weeks ago shortly after I applied. This is good but just means you made it to first base. Hopefully, someone will let us know if there is any movement to 2nd base.

Please don't tell us about how you made it to 3rd base. TMI!

All six of my immigration judge applications show as received. Isn't the order of events complete, received, then reviewed?

All six of my immigration judge applications show as received. Isn't the order of events complete, received, then reviewed? With the caveat that different positions can have different paths, I think the usual order is received (system generated, I believe, just to affirm application was electronically transmitted), complete (some next step of review, possibly by a human, that applications contains all the required documents), reviewed (a substantive, for lack of a better word, review that you meet the minimum requirements) (sometimes there is also a referred and there are steps that take you out of the game, like not among the highest qualified). If you filed through Application Manager, check status there rather than just usajobs. Search this board for the "see details" posts for what some folks found when checking the status of their ALJ applications. FWIW try not to sweat the process unless you hear something final-ish. Sometimes as with the case of the ALJ applications, most status was formally updated for all candidates by "letter" all at once. (I am sure if I am remembering incorrectly, someone will help me out.) Good luck!

Anyone remember the gourmet dorm cooking on the popcorn popper surface? We got fancy one semester - we had an electric skillet in our room (and actually used it). I think now they'd kick you out if you have one of those - fire hazard I guess! I think I tried to reheat something on the radiator, without much success.

One year I managed to bake chocolate chip cookies in an electric skillet (also outlawed in my dorm) - Of course, most of the dough was gone before baking, and after that, who really cares if its cooked?!

Actually we ended up flipping them over and making sort of chocolate chip pancake-cookies

Thanks, Missundaztood. I went into the application manager. My status on one application was "complete" while USA Jobs only said "received." On another application, my application status was, "pending HR Specialist Action."

On another application, my application status was, "pending HR Specialist Action." Maybe "pending" comes between received and complete? I seem to recall having that step at some point on my ALJ app. Maybe different city apps are moving at different speeds. So much mystery...

One "Complete" and two "Pending HR Specialist Action." Thanks for the heads-up and the recommendation to check Application Manager.

all of mine show "received" in USAJOBS. In Application Manager, some are "complete" and some are "pending HR specialist action." I still think it will be a couple of weeks, or more, before anyone is called for interviews.

By letter, do you mean you received an email?
