This is what I was wondering. So far meanmom is the only one who has posted getting a call to set up interview arrangements. Ok, after several messages from people I finally figured this out. There were two processes unfolding yesterday. Calls to set up interviews and notification of the cert emails. A few people who are "local" in the DC area who do not need travel arrangements were contacted by telephone first to see if they were still interested ... these people do not need the travel arrangements and can take slots early in the interview process. So while the emails were going out for the cert list, another process was going on to arrange interviews. The folks who are local are getting interviews right away, the first few days of the interview slots since they do not need the extra time to arrange travel. Ordinarily, without the return of the GAL list, SSA would not know if the individuals were "still interested." Hence, the first question, are you still interested so they could arrange the interview date before the cert emails even went out. Now it makes sense. This had me perplexed and when I saw Observer ask about an "email" about "are you interested" I knew it wasn't just me. So there it is folks, there is a plan and it is logical. There is still activity happening this morning. I did not receive any emails yesterday and with a score that begins with a "6" and only 1 city on my GAL among the 28 posted yesterday, had figured I was definitely 3rd (or later) cert material. But this morning - literally while leaving the local elementary school after performing my civic voting duty, haha - I received a call out of the blue from the 703 area code telling me I had made the cert and seeking to set up an interview. So folks - you need to take "unknown" calls from the 703 today if you see one come in! BTW, I am not local to DC or even in the Eastern time zone.

This is great news for those who have not heard anything yet! Congrats and good luck! Clearly there are more emails to come or there are emails sitting in spam filters on the email servers. Keep checking your spam and stay optimistic!

Although there seem to be some anomalies, it looks to me like they are rolling out the emails in score order.

I got the e-mail at dusk yesterday -- after most of my productivity was shot waiting for the ping of an incoming e-mail, and after 9 or 10 false alarms with non-Bob Gehiken e-mails..
I have not received a phone call for an interview yet, either at work or on my home phone yet -- but, it occurs to me, my work number has changed since I filled out the initial application in March 2013, and I did not give them my home number at the time. Will they schedule interviews via e-mail, do you think, for candidates who cannot be reached by phone?

Congrats to ba, owl for keeping up hope for a few more calls & emails being made today.
Loop - sounds like you should call Bob and give them your correct phone numbers. You can always get the info to OPM as well, but that won't help you with this cert. Hopefully you won't need to sit on another cert!

It appears all of the interview notifications are call first, then email to confirm. Better to be safe!

After making contact with Bob, I have got the "good news" email. Apparently, OPM added a glitch to my email address -- so I guess the original email was lost in cyberspace. Thanks Sratty, mamaru, hopefalj, and all for the tips!

Thanks Sratty, mamaru, hopefalj, and all for the tips! Good news. With your Board handle, it would have been the height of cosmic injustice for you to not be on the cert. Congratulations!

I was on the first cert and the first email I received this time was Bob's second email about the problems with the forms. The first email was lurking in my spam folder, but for some reason I didn't find it even though I called myself checking for it there. I sent a reply to Bob asking whether I had received the second email by mistake. Someone at ODAR promptly re-sent the first (notice) email to me, and this time it popped up at the top of my spam folder and I found that I had received it twice. So, check your spam folders for any ssa.gov email addresses.

Is it OK if I say "Me too"? I was traveling yesterday and did not have the opportunity to check my email. As usual, I checked this board early this morning, looking for news. I saw this thread and reluctantly checked me gmail account, expecting the worst. As expected, there was no email from Bob in my inbox. Checking my spam box, I was delighted to find the golden ticket. Tiny GAL and middle of the road score, but one city on the list! Thanks to all for the good advice and companionship. Best of luck!

Congrats to all those going to the Big Dance! It is weeks like this that remind me of why I love this board -- and its crazy cast of characters! Good luck, and happy hunting! (Except you, chessparent. Because you might take me literally, no hunting for you...)
