Hello,
I'm a 10-point veterans' preference candidate who tested, fairly well, last September. Back then, my geographic mobility was limited to one state. Circumstances have changed. OPM tells me no GAL changes are allowed until the next open period, unless the agency announces an additional period in the interim. Anyone know of a workaround, or am I stuck?
Thanks for your advice.

Your only other choice at this time is to re-test and hope you do as well and this time widen your GAL to as big as you can and want. Sorry, but no other choice right now as far as I know. Remember your new NOR will replace your old NOR even if it is lower. So, be careful what choice you make.

I'm in the same boat as you are, Jagged. It appears to simply be a waiting game at this point.

Keep in mind it is also possible you would not score well enough to land on the register at all, either by not making a high enough score on the online components or by too low a score on either the WD or the SI.
