Hello To All Those Who Submitted an Appeal and are still Waiting..., I have not been on here much because (honestly) I am still heart broken that I did not make it through the second round (because I KNOW I am perfect for this job...as I am sure all of you feel the same way ). But I am still "futureALJ" I will not give up! I wanted to give those of you who are still waiting to hear something in response to your Appeal some hope. I received an email from the Administrative Law Judge Program Office that states: The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Appeals Panel is diligently reviewing appeals for the ALJ examination, Job Opportunity Announcement number ALJ2013-847661. Due to the volume and variety of appeals, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management cannot provide a specific time frame for the completion of the appeals process. Applicants will be notified via email once the ALJ Appeals Panel has made its decisions regarding all the appeals. We appreciate your patience. Sincerely, Administrative Law Judge Program Office
This really gave me hope, and I wanted to share it with you in hopes that it will make you feel better too. Its not over!!...so don't give up hope...keep praying! Sincerely, still waiting...and praying...futureALJ

As a very long time lurker, I'm happy to see some movement on futurealj's appeal--however the post should be amended in my opinion.

While I don't believe there is any ill intent here, the original post and several responses were going down some slippery slopes that I'm just not comfortable with. I thought this Board's position on SI related issues is quite clear: aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/1478/discussion-opm-ssa-interview-specifics. Thread has been amended per the policy above.

I apologize in advance. I missunderstood her post and thought she was referring to her application, not her SI. My bad, and thanks for the catch Chipper! Thanks for the post removal ALJD, I didn't mean to slide down any slippery slope...

Thanks for the post removal ALJD, I didn't mean to slide down any slippery slope... I don't think futurealj was referring to the SI in her post, if I remember correctly. She was referring to the difference between what OPM is looking for versus what SSA is looking for. However, it is ALJD's Board and I respect her opinion. I am not so sure you really needed to apologize sealaw. I don't think there was ever any intent or effort by futurealj to breach any confidentiality rules.

There was certainly no ill intent here...ALJD I apologize if my post was going down a slippery slope...and I did not see the responses (that I assume have been deleted)... I was referring to the difference between what OPM is looking for and what SSA is looking for in the initial stages...just to be clear, I did not even make it to the SI stage so I was not referring to that at all, so sorry for the confusion...and thank you for informing me.

If it's any help Futurealj, you don't really need to worry at all about what SSA is looking for, until you get past OPM and get on the Register.
I have to say, although I have no dog in this fight, I'm mildly surprised by the line in the email to the effect that OPM will not notify anyone until they've processed everyone. I guess that procedure keeps things fair, but it would seem to keep things on hold for an extraordinarily long time. I hope I'm wrong about that!
Good luck!

Futurealj, Thank you so much. I haven't been back on this forum much lately but I came on just now to see if anyone was talking about appeals.
My situation is a bit different - I passed the first round but did not receive my 2nd round e-mail. I didn't know about this forum in time and, when I found it, I immediately communicated AGAIN with OPM to see what was what. I was advised - after about a month-and-a-half - that I indeed (according to OPM) had been sent the e-mail and by the time I found the forum, I was four days too late to respond, to arrange to go to Round 2.
The word "hope" is mentioned above, and there's always that. I'm also an optimist by nature, but realistically I wonder what my chances are of prevailing on appeal. I'm a GS-15 federal attorney with 35 years legal experience including 15 years as a state court judge and clerkships w/ a U.S. Magistrate (doing almost exclusively SS work) and w/a U.S. District Judge. Like you, I know I'm qualified and could do this job justice. I checked my e-mail every day from the date I submitted my application in March 2013 until I found this forum in early May, including my spam folder, and AOL told me that if the e-mail didn't go through OPM would've received a bounce-back. OPM's disclaimer noted, it's flatly unfair that OPM takes no responsibility for my not receiving its e-mail. I deeply regret not having known about this forum earlier. And, I do have at least a glimmer of hope that once I hear back from the appeal, there will be some consideration.
Thanks again and good luck to us all!

I appealed on the WR. I hadn't checked status in quite awhile. Today I noticed an entry on USA Jobs, and I don't know/recall if it is new.
It shows Complete for External Assessment, with a date submitted of 5/8/2013 and a due date of 4/24/2015.
Do others show this April 2015 due date?
