Appeal Rejections rolling in! Happy Monday! I do know of one other person besides the earlier poster that won an appeal though. So, not everyone got the axe.

Just wanted to let anyone who is interested know that I appealed 3rd round denial based on WD and that appeal was denied. Not terribly surprised with the result, but I do remain surprised at the length of this entire process.
Since this began I have had a family grow from a wife to a wife and two children. Both are now out of the baby stage. I have also changed jobs, and I'm content with my career. I can stand to use a couple more years developing my career, so I'll look around for the chance to try this a second time. My parting advice to anyone starting the process or in the middle of it is to follow the instructions closely and answer the question asked.
Good luck to those waiting on their appeal or have had them granted. To those who get bad news, I wish you well in your career and, if you choose to try again, best of luck with a new application. Thanks for all the assistance that I got from this board through the process. I'll continue to follow the journey of those who feel like friends and family and will see participate again the next time.

I was hoping you might get a good decision, but it wasn't to be. I am glad things are at least moving on in your life and you can continue with your present position. Hopefully, if you decide to do the next Register, when it opens or there is a refresh, you will join the ranks of those who make it beyond the third stage. Until then, I continue to wish you well.

Hoping, I was a WD appeal. I had the pleasure of going through the entire experience. I know of one other WD appeal that was granted and one that was denied.

Youngblood, keep in mind that you may have had a stellar SI score and done well on the LBT. Give yourself credit! The rescored WD was only one component of your NOR. Good luck.

So far, we only know of one who had the WD rescored. Youngblood, congrats, and was that your situation as well? Yes. My appeal was based on OPM's failure to respond to my weeks earlier pre-exam email inquiry regarding the availability of a specific reasonable accommodation at the DC exam. Went to DC without ever getting a response from OPM, and took the test; OPM said I "passed" the SI but the WD was below the cutoff. Thought I had done pretty well on the exam, so I appealed on above basis. I asked to retake the exam with the requested accommodation, but it appears that they simply had other people re-read and re-score my exam, never addressing the RA issue raised. Given the lack of scores below 40 in the poll, there must be huge differences in scoring (plus or minus at least 30+ points!) amongst the reviewers, because the revised score put me in the middle of the pack. So for those of you who lost an appeal, take heart because it is not a reflection on your qualifications. As in most things in life, there appears to be a LOT of luck involved in this process. Thanks for the advice and information! Good luck to all.

Personally, I left DC thinking that I did very well on the LBT, fine on the WD, but TANKED the SI! Just goes to show that you never know.

Congrats ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and Youngblood Priest! It is encouraging to learn that your appeals were successful. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), it appears that you filed your appeal well before the deadline and I am wondering if this means that they are processing WD appeals in order of receipt? I appealed the WD in mid April of 2014...needless to say, it has been a long 15 months. Just wondering if there are others out there still waiting on a WD appeal. I am curious to get an idea how far along they are. Thanks!

Has anyone cut at the second round heard anything good or bad to date? Good luck to all. There will be a two to three week time period between when the testing period ends and when results are given, if the previous period of testing is an example. So, please keep an eye on your email inbox or your spam folder just to be sure. Good luck to all.

I learned last night that my WD appeal was unsuccessful. Dang. And what a long, strange trip it's been.
But, hey, the sun still shines. Most important, my kids are all fine - much smarter and better looking than me! And I am a longtime state court system employee, well paid, with tons of discretion (and tons of annual vacation), and a part-time judge as well. And I may finally this year be making progress reducing my golf handicap. I'll be trying that again later today.
Best of luck to you still in the hunt, or hoping to be. Seashells and balloons!
