Amazingly, KittyLaw, we are in total agreement. If he was having pizza and a beer with you, he definitely wasn't the sharpest pencil in the pack .. unless of course he got you to buy. Then, I'd think pretty highly of him, myself. So, who bought? HT So cute when the Tupelo Twosome fight like an old married couple. Are these the two who always wear matching Hawaiian shirts?

And you may hear them singing this song as they walk to the hearing office together... Give us any chance, we'll take it. Give us any rule, we'll break it. We're gonna make our dreams come true. Doin' it our way. Nothin's gonna turn us back now, Straight ahead and on the track now. We're gonna make our dreams come true, Doin' it our way. There is nothing we won't try, Never heard the word impossible. This time there's no stopping us. We're gonna do it. On your mark, get set, and go now, Got a dream and we just know now, We're gonna make our dream come true. And we'll do it our way, yes our way. Make all our dreams come true, And do it our way, yes our way, Make all our dreams come true For me and you.

Are these the two who always wear matching Hawaiian shirts? Watch for the secret handshake, too. Um, no. You DO NOT want to see their secret handshake. Trust me on that.

Apologies if this has been covered before. As I understand it, the hiring committee has been meeting for two weeks, and will end their meeting tomorrow. Does this mean any and all offers (for this round) will be made by Friday? Or will offers continue to be made even in the absence of the committee?

It would be great for anyone in the know to share information on class size, hiring , etc. no new offers reported today. Are we done with this class?

Pretty sure January is full. Whether or not they immediately roll into the next round, or wait until they interview everyone in January (perhaps with a new cert) remains to be seen.

I still think there could be a couple more yet Ace. Not a great number, but a few. SSA is likely working out ways to try to get to the people they want to hire. If they can't get to them, the hiring will be done. Then, as you stated earlier, its likely the next round may not start until the rest of those needing interviews yet are interviewed. The next roll-out of offers will come late January or more likely February 2015 IMHO.

Remember, not everyone getting hired for January is directly or indirectly connected to this Board. So, they may very well be done for that class. If they are still meeting, it may be for talking about the next round, even if only general terms.

That's the most accurate answer I've heard on this board since March, 2013 Looks like I can enjoy Christmas and New Years and my trip to the keys in February for some sea kayaking. trip was already paid for and I was worried I might have to report to a new posting on Jan 25---looks like that isn't going to happen--so maybe late Feb or March or later--in the meantime I can let my breath out. Happy Holidays everybody and congrats to the new judges.

I'm in a similar kayak. Have a prepaid trip with 3 other couples to Jamaica scheduled for March. Would have happily given it to my sister -- would have been a win win in my book. I guess the consolation prize for not getting the golden ticket is Jamaica. Still holding out hope for a second round of hiring off the second cert.

There is always the possibility someone is in that 24 reply time frame too. Just trying to be optimistic here.

If no more offers show up tomorrow, then I will believe SSA is done for this class. Right now, until the week is over, I still think there is a chance for a few more hires.

I am pretty much convinced that I won't be getting an SSA job this go round. I think this cert where interviews were held in November and December is the first one I was one. I was on it for one city; none of the others were on my GAL and it didn't appear that this go round any of my other GAL locations were in play. As a newbie to the process, and the board, is there any way to determine if I should just give up. Is just waiting to see if another cert comes out the only way. I scored a 73.73 and had a somewhat wide GAL of South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. Thanks.

After all this time and the agency's clear intent to hire another 230 or so people in 2015? Shaking my head.... It's WAY to early to "give up." But if you want to do so, please by all means, remove yourself from the register.

I won't give up. I was just venting in a way and, truth be told, feeling sorry for myself. I went through a year of testing, etc. to get on the list and it would be stupid to capitulate.
