Are the 3 of us going to arm wrestle for the same spot, or are there enough to go around? Or should we suggest a pentathlon-type obstacle course and we race against the clock for the best time?

BTW, it is really proof that the new process has affected OMHA hiring if they reached Lil' ole Miss on their certs.

I know that Miss, but the "times are a-changing" and you happen to be lucky enough to make the OHMA cert and I am extremely happy for you. Now, it is likely you will receive a SSA offer, too. Just like many of those from the first cert. Good luck!!!

Aww shucks. I rarely get to pass on substantive Intel in return for all the info I get here, so I wanted to pay it forward with my observation re OMHA certs.

On behalf of the 700 or so of us still waiting on an offer from SSA, I really hope you all get offers from OHMA, really.

I suspect all of you will also receive calls from Bob (or his proxy). If you like KC or Cleveland and it comes down to one agency vs the other, in roughly the same geographic region, you need to consider your preferred operational style. Do you prefer being a supervisor with a team, or a monk in a monastery. ht

If you like the idea of having more control over your final work product (opinions), then OMHA is the place to be.
Dep Chief "Skip" Moore seems to be a great person to work for and the job gives you control over your team of lawyers and paralegals. ODAR was the choice for me due to other reasons, I wanted the ability to move around the country and if OMHA had kept Denver on the table, I might be there now.
But I enjoy my job and office now except for the ALJ next door (fellow board member, so that's all I can say now ). Think hard about your choices as there is a significant difference in the command and control structure of the two agencies.
