The Discussion Forum was looking a bit dated after seven plus years. So I did some remodeling. Hope everyone enjoy the more professional and modern look.

Yay, even the Board gets a Christmas gift!
And for a minute I thought my browser's formatting just went nuts! :-)
Looks great, ALJD. Thanks!

ALJD, Even old dogs can come up with new tricks. It took me six and a half years to add an avatar. The panoramic night shot of the Washington Monument at the top of the page is a nice touch. If it was there before, it was lost in the old color scheme. Given the new grey color scheme, It immediately drew my attention. Very Nice! ht

Okay. Now I feel like a kid in a candy store.
If there were critique buttons before, ALJD, I didn't notice them.
My browser wasn't moving fast enough and I actually hit on the button on a queued mouse click by mistake.
Up pops a window that invited me tell DCJay on his post about getting a call from Bob offering him Mt. Pleasant, that not only did I "Like" it, I thought his post was "Outstanding" as well.
So, my fellow board members, if you really want to tell someone you liked their post (without having to PM them) I commend the "Critique" button to you.
Yep, even old dogs can learn new tricks.
ht
Post script edit: But it only works if you are logged in - as is required in order to "Like" someone's post.

HT the critique button has been on the site for some time and is not new with the latest update.

The panoramic night shot of the Washington Monument at the top of the page is a nice touch. New banner. It's a good panoramic view of DC from the Arlington side. I thought it was fitting because it's a view similar to what you see could see at night from the Marriott Residence Inn at Pentagon City, where baby judges lived while they go through the four week initial training.

Now that I am looking at the updated blog on a computer screen instead of my phone, I can see the entirety of the changes you made ALJD - very nice indeed! It's like going out and buying yourself a new suit - you realize that the suits you had in the closet that were 'nice' were actually starting to look a little shabby!!

I particularly like the absence of the cone-headed aliens for those who did not have an avatar. Thank you!

I will come up with an avatar for 2015. It's on my bucket list. Avatar for ALJ Forum and skydiving.

Truer words were never spoken. But that's only half the story. What Tiger isn't telling you is that even though I'm a few years older than him, he looks 20 years older than me. When I go out to eat lunch with him, and I tell the waitperson they need to give my "dad" a break on the bill because he's getting old, they take one look at him and don't even question the fact that he's eligible for that senior discount. And then they turn to me and say, "you're such a thoughtful young man." ht
