Well this lesson certainly explains the looks I get at the Piggly-Wiggly when I ask if they have any Doritos and some of that fancy French cheese that comes in a spray can. There may be a market for spray Boursin cheese more than spray brie cheese. Just sayin'

Actually for those of us from Wisconsin, that would be "substitute" cheese in a spray can. We are rather proud of our dairy products and our Packers. Worked at home today and shared my bagel with two of my kitties. They were more interested in licking off the cream cheese than the "everything" bagel. You should see when we share beef ribs. It's eye to eye and every animal for themselves...

How do you update your resume if you get an interview? After almost two years things have changed...can/do you submit an updated resume as part of your submittal before the interview?

I'm talking about additional certifications, credentials, etc....how do you report that?

I'm talking about additional certifications, credentials, etc....how do you report that? FWIW, that is something I really preferred about OMHA. We were required to submit an updated resume before the interview.

I know we're not supposed to talk about the substance of the interviews, but I'll reveal that I brought an updated resume to the interview and the panel was happy to take it. What they did with it, I have no idea. I treated the interview like any job interview and came prepared with the updated resume. I had received a promotion between the application era and the inteview, so I told them that was the reason for the updated resume. You might similarly tell them you have new credentials and, so you've brought an updated resume to submit.

I'm talking about additional certifications, credentials, etc....how do you report that? Floss, not quite sure what the purpose of new certifications or credentials in any particular subject is going to be needed to get you over the hurdle in your interview with SSA. I don't really think SSA cares about things like that, but I may be mistaken. Someone can enlighten us I am sure, but I seriously wouldn't think it matters at this point. Your answers to the questions at your interview in Falls church and your reference checks get you hired, not a credential or certificate. If it's another agency, then like Mizz said, OMHA lets you bring an updated resume.

You will receive forms to fill out when you are asked to be interviewed by SSA and your GAL is included in the list for interviews. One of these forms is a nine-page form which will allow you to list changes in your work history. You can list your work changes there. As sealaw stated the SSA interview isn't so wrapped up about your current resume or changes to it. Just don't sweat the small stuff like changes in your job at this point.

mpd - GAL? Guardian ad Litem or our OPM version of GAL? When floss was referring to new credentials, the thought that she got certified as a GAL ran thru my mind, so when you mentioned it in your response, I had to ask . . .

Ahh, the good old days, when GAL meant getting court appointed work and a nice little check from the state.
Now all it means to me is a four-letter word that I wish I could expand.
I mean, some of us now know we are supposed to like wide open GALs! LOL! I always went for the thin ones! Silly old Yoda.

So much has changed since then.
