Can't predict the 6th one. JMHO. Didn't they have a false start for a new office in Denver? But that would be too many out West, I suppose.

Funny you should mention that, I was just doing a compare and contrast with the current OMHA offices and the regional offices - my prediction is a new office in the northeast (Boston/Philly), maybe Atlanta, Dallas, San Fran and Seattle. Can't predict the 6th one. JMHO. Regional offices? For ODAR?

Can't predict the 6th one. JMHO. Regional offices? For ODAR? HHS has 10 regional offices that do not necessarily coincide with the OMHA offices. If I was an agency who got a chance to triple my ALJs in one FY, I would stick them in agency office buildings I currently have - that's assuming they get the funding ....

They are hiring off of the current ALJ register. As Sratty would say, it's a good time to have that NOR. Any updates on this -- number of openings, hiring decisions made, anticipated start dates, etc?

Radio silence since initial background checks, fingerprints, references called, etc. How about you, coffee? Spill the beans!

My personal bet on new offices are Chicago and Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Dallas/FW I agree, but Chi town is too close to Cleveland, so that's why I discounted it. There's only one OMHA office on the west coast, so that why I think there might be expansion in the pacific NW. I am just guessing - I have no insider knowledge. I work for another agency entirely....but I like your personal bet lonestranger.

Ah, but with gary and cubbietax, and perhaps some other notable (is that the right word?) Board members in Chi, OMHA would be well-served putting an office there.

Oh totally, there is always the wishful thinking and rooting for my buddies on the board that can sway a person's mind. But if we could have it that way, then there's an east coast city that I'd like to see OMHA open a new office in - I'd be there in a minute, jumping over each and every one of you!!!

A Chicago OMHA office would be great. I could take the CTA to visit Miss and cubbietax whose chances of getting a job there I like much better than my own.

With two false starts for Orland, I think both are chances are nil. We will have to wait and see. Not a sprint, not a marathon, but an ULTRAMARATHON

Pending completion of my background check, I have been offered a position with OMHA. Sadly, there is no poll for me to vote in......
