I have gone through and deleted all of the congratulatory posts. Nothing wrong with that type of post, but we need a clean thread to indicate who is going where. Pixie.
EDIT NOTE: If you want to post congratulations, that is fine, go ahead and do so. I will just come through every now and then and clean the thread. That will give the selected ones time to see your good wishes. It appears to me that the thread will get unwieldy with 5 or 6 announcements and 50 or 60 congrats.
Or, if you wish, I can just leave all the congrats up, as in the past. It's your board, I'll do what you wish. Pixie.

3 o'clock Friday. The 703 area code information was good advice. Bob, who I thought would be sonorous and solemn, sounded young and cheerful. He said he would be my HR guy until I retired. This made me ridiculously happy. Tallahassee, Florida. I accepted instantly. I start in May.

Was out of the office Friday afternoon. Thank goodness I checked voicemail. Mellinda had called. She was gone for the afternoon when I called back, but I accepted this morning for Huntington WV.

Just pick somebody you trust, tell them what they are at liberty to share, and what you want kept confidential. All of the people Gaidin listed have been very reliable and sensitive to confidentiality in the past. |

A position in Mt. Pleasant, MI, has been accepted by a candidate (who prefers to remain anonymous) to start on May 18. This candidate is going to be a wonderful ALJ.

Spoke with Bob this afternoon but no time to post until now. Going to Dover with June start date. I am presently in a very small law firm and needed the extra time to find my replacement.

So we had a 2nd Milwaukee emerge and that is it for today. That gets our numbers really close to the 20 we were told they wanted to get for May. Are we waiting on someone to give them an answer or are we done until after interviews?

I've made it official, so I am ready to come out of the closet and report that I received an offer on Monday. Outie, non-vet, starting in May (for science and stuff -- and yes, I voted in the polls).
My fingers and toes are still crossed, however, that many more calls are going to be made in the coming days and weeks. I hope the current intel about aspirations for a May class of 40 are accurate.
