I just got an offer to work in the Wichita Office. I accepted! Congratulations! I guess one could surmise that this won't be a big adjustment, geographically speaking. Which of course means that its easy on the family. NIce. The Puzzle Palace continues in its new mode of being much more sensitive to geographical choice. Must be the transfer game is eating up too many personnel hours. Or is that they really do care? Why just a scant few years ago......................,

If I recall correctly, dpageks had a relatively small GAL (we overlapped in a few places). So could be the smaller GALs that are helping with this seeming new direction. :-)

It will only be a 45 minute commute. This really is quite a blessing; it almost makes me want to cry. However, I will deny this urge under oath!
"I'm sorry, Senator, apart from the birth of my son, I don't recall whether I have ever been brought to tears . . . "

I was offered a position in St Louis about 5 hours ago. Google lists 3 SSA Offices in St Louis. Does anyone know which one is hiring (I didn't ask because assumed there wasn't more than one)? If anyone has insight into that office or the area in general (good neighborhoods, schools, etc.), I love to hear from you. Thanks!

I don't think any of those would be your duty station with ODAR. I think you will be working at: SSA, St Louis ODAR Office 200 North Broadway, Suite 900 St Louis, Missouri 63102
