Without divulging anything to do with the interview process, please let us know what day you had your SSA interview and how many people were interviewing at the same time as you. Perhaps, any other shareable information regarding the numbers of candidates or location of where the candidates came from would be nice. I am just trying to determine the numbers of people actually interviewing for this present set of certs. It will give us an approximate number of people competing for the 80 to 90 expected ALJ hires occurring for the September 2015 start date.

Arggh! I just posted in the other thread about this before I saw your post!! Sorry mpd.
Looks like 16 total, but so far 8 have been confirmed by litig8tor and me. We were in separate sections.

There were four of us at my time slot. So, I guess, the total number would be four times the number of time slots per day (I don't know that number), times the number of days they are holding interviews (don't know that one either).

Consistent with previous rounds - when they're operating at "capacity" they run 3 or 4 interview slots per day, with 4 interviews each slot - so 12 to 16 per full day of interviews is my best guess.

If we SWAG that there will be the full 4 interviewees in 4 time slots between the 28th 29th and the 5th that is 112 96 interviewees. Unless somebody reports more than four people were interviewed in a given time slot then I think we can safely assume that 112 96 is the high end of the interview total.
If I am only mostly sure that the interviews started on the 28th 29th and will end on the 5th.
Upon reviewing the poll again there is no report of an interview before the 29th so without contrary evidence I am saying interviews started the 29th. If someone knows I am wrong please feel free to correct me.

Got a pm regarding this morning. Four folks were interviewed in one timeslot. We'll see about this afternoon's Numbers but I think 96 is the max we can expect. Actual number will probably be lower than that.

I was there yesterday, Wednesday, for a 1:30 interview. I was early but there were 4 of us there. When I was leaving the folks for the 3:30 interview were there, looked to be 3 there. It was nice to meet other members from the board, it looked like all of us there were on the board and all had very small GALs Again, we cannot say anything about the interview process or the questions etc. But you can do some math and see that the interviews are long, my interview was for 1:30 and the next one was 3:30. What now? After the interviews are done, the Hiring Committee will meet and select. Then Bobellinda will call the fortunate selectees. All you can do is wait and hope one of those calls is to you. If it's not, you hope to be on subsequent certs and to get the call then.

Had my interview this morning at 830. There were four of us interviewing. Glad to be done. Think I did well, but as expected the interviewers would not provide feedback.

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to this board, and appreciate all of the info I've learned here thus far. So, I'll share that at my 10:30 slot today, there were 5 total interviewees.

Sure seemed like it. 2 candidates were sitting in the waiting area when I was escorted in with 2 others. I was called in second to last so I suppose the candidate who I left behind was super early for a later slot.

Or "could have been" early is what I meant to say.

Interesting. I'm not sure how early they'd bring somebody up. However, I don't recall hearing before of more than 4 for a time slot and I'm not sure how feasible 5 at a time would be logistically.

Had my interview this morning at 830. There were four of us interviewing. Glad to be done. Think I did well, but as expected the interviewers would not provide feedback. When I interviewed in June 2010, the lead interviewer, an RCALJ, told me (paraphrasing), at the conclusion of my 80 minute interview, "we're hiring in August" instead "thanks for interviewing" or something similar. I was offered my position in early August and reported in September 2010, so while not "actual" feedback, I though it was a pretty good, tell, sign, etc. Of course, this was an RCALJ. A HOCALJ also took part in my interview, so if you have two HOCALJs, they may be more reserved in their comments at the end of the interview. Just my experience.

Or "could have been" early is what I meant to say. Thanks for the info and welcome to the board tb3. Sounds to me that you were right the first time - candidate #5 was super early! Maybe they didn't want to hang at the airport, or Ely's (aka the chicken place) was closed! I hope everyone is attaching documents onto an email and pressing the send button...unless your the candidate in front of me on my city cert, you can take your time then.

I have seen no other reports suggesting more than 4 in a time slot, and do not think it likely SSA would bring in extra interviewers to do a 5th slot on a single occasion.

Sure seemed like it. 2 candidates were sitting in the waiting area when I was escorted in with 2 others. I was called in second to last so I suppose the candidate who I left behind was super early for a later slot. I don't think the security guys at FC are too keen on letting folks loiter in the SSA waiting room hours before their interviews, so they were probably running 5 at a time today. I distinctly remember having to hang out in the break room for a while before my interview because they didn't even want me coming in to check in until 30 minutes before my interview, even though I had a magical ODAR ID and knew the secret handshake! I think they were running 5 interviewees last fall (I believe I interviewed at the same time as two other men and women), and it's feasible that perhaps they could assemble another local panel of two to help out on a Friday to explain why they did 5 candidates during your interview and only 4 in the earlier slots. Good luck and congrats on being done!
