Are there also more 10 pointers cycling in? Or have they all been through DC testing and interviewed if they passed? I think that there are almost always 10ptrs cycling through the process. So they would likely constitute a 3rd category. I agree. I think OPM has to deal with 10 pointers quarterly (unless there is a quarter in which none apply). OPM will almost surely fold testing of the current 10 pointers in with the others they will be testing.

Folks if you are waiting on the email you need to check your spam folders. Seriously, you may have gotten it and it is sitting in your spam folder.

Haven't heard yet about when we'll be headed to D.C. but, of course, the invite only came down last Thursday. On the topic of when we might get our NORs (wishful thinking there), though, the e-mail advised as follows: "Applicants who complete and meet the criteria for all three assessments will be notified of their final ratings when all applicants have completed these assessments." So...unless there is some distinction made among applicants in different situations, i.e., those like Pumpkin & me who did not receive our notices of 2nd round eligibility back in 2013, those who took the online test in 2013 and didn't make the cut but now may do so, ten-pointers, etc., it looks like we may have to wait a while for results. This in response to one friend who thought perhaps there might be expedited handling of those of us who didn't get the original e-mail. That'd be nice, but I'm grateful for what I have received!

In case there are others, I am still waiting as well. Situation was similar to Hope's, although I did not have to appeal. Have checked e-mail and spam folder religiously. Nothing at all as of yet.

I too am in the same situation having heard nothing from OPM. Other than a little activity last Thursday, it does not appear there has been much in the way of contacting those stopped at step 2 previously. I'm keeping an eye on my email and watching the board to see when things start to happen.

Just got notice that my WD/LBMT is scheduled for 8/31. Nothing about the SI and it says you can reschedule once for specific week of 9/14-18.

In 2013 the WD/LBMT was scheduled Monday through Thursday and the SI scheduled the day afterwards for Tuesday through Friday. The WD/LBMT was at OPM's offices and the SI was at a hotel about 10 blocks away.

I was a first round negative NOR - appealed - prevailed on the appeal and was told I could take the Round 2 online test/ assessment, took that portion, and then was told I made it through to the DC portion (WD/LBMT and SI) and now have heard dates for the first segment of the DC portion.

I will be joining you on 8/31! The notice does say if one reschedules (I'm not planning to) the SI will be "the next day" so from that and from the combined wisdom on this forum, I'd say the chances of our SIs being 9/1 are pretty darn good.
One other friend I know of has been scheduled for testing on 9/2.
Best of luck to all of us!

You are very lucky to have the SI scheduled the day after the WD/LBMT. When I went through the process in 2008, I had to travel twice to DC. First, for the WD, and about 2 months, or so, later for the SI. Very costly for airline tickets, hotel, etc., especially since my NOR was not high enough to be competitive.

Pray tell, what is appropriate attire for the WD/LBMT? Can I get away with jeans and tennies? Or do I need to be more formal?

Well, it was chilly in there in the past, that's true. I didn't find it as cold as others did, even though there were only four of us in the room. But bring a jacket in case. You don't need to be formal that day, just the next day.

Informal attire is fine for the WD/LBMT. There were frequent complaints on this Board about how cold the room was. I don't know if that will be a problem this time out two years later.

I wore a short sleeved shirt and jeans and I was comfortable but as Mrs. G will tell you I rarely if ever get cold.
Definitely wear your interview clothes for the SI. There is even a thread on here somewhere about whether Funky should shave his beard or not.

Business cas for the testing, office dress-up for the interview. I tested & interviewed in hot, muggy Aug. and knew the AC might be cranked up, and it was! So I was glad I'd brought along a long-sleeved shirt just in case.
I'd flown in from the West Coast & came in a day early to adjust to the time change. I wish I'd given myself a bit more time and pushed the B vitamins ahead of the trip - I didn't sleep well and had the worse case of jetlag I've ever suffered through both days. Still ended up with an ok NOR, but I wasn't as sharp as normal.
