I'm a round 2 rejectee and just got notice I am moving on. Email came on at 4:05 pm. Did you appeal from the 2013 decision?

Wow! Sounds like OPM has decided the next threshold and doesn't plan to go further down. So sorry, Upbeat. But thanks so much for sharing these details!

Sorry about that upbeat. Thanks for sharing your email. It sheds some light on OPM's process.
Good luck as you move on. You've got a great attitude which I am sure will stand you in good stead.

I just received the same email. I cannot say that I am surprised, although I am very disappointed. It is like shooting an arrow in the dark. Since we were never given a score in the first place, or now, I guess we have to just believe them when they say they we did meet the magic score, whatever that may be.
I would be very interested to see how many people outsiders vs insiders make it to the next round, although I am quite sure of the answer.
Good luck to those who are successful on their appeals.

Congrats, tink! And thanks Agent99 and gary and everyone else. It was a very long wait for a FOAD e-mail but I know I couldn't have tried any harder. There's satisfaction in that. No I'm agressively looking at overseas opportunities, so who knows - could be a big blessing in disguise. Sending everyone good vibes for a positive result!

Wow! Sounds like OPM has decided the next threshold and doesn't plan to go further down. So sorry, Upbeat. But thanks so much for sharing these details! I disagree. OPM decided it was correct in determining upbeat had not scored high enough to be in the higher scoring subgroup that went to DC in 2013. THEN OPM considered upbeat's score against the new lower cutoff and decided upbeat's score was not high enough to go to DC with this year's group.

Just got a call from a friend previously cut at round 2. No appeal. Now score is acceptable and invited to DC.
Good luck all.

That's how I read it, too, gary. Like two FOADs in one, hahaha.

I think the email upbeat shared and tink's post show OPM has resolved the relevant appeals and has moved on to notifying the next-higher-scoring-subgroup that they are invited to the Big Dance in DC.

Thanks for sharing your news with us - So sorry that it didn't turn out well. Actually, this round's testing process seems to have favored outsiders more than in the past and there has been a higher percentage of outsiders that have moved on and been hired than on past Registers. The process certainly is opaque though, which doesn't provide any comfort. Good luck as you move on!

You have a great attitude about this and that is so inspiring. I wish you the best and should you decide to go through this again you have my best wishes. It's still a long road ahead for those of us proceeding. I only hope I have as good an attitude as you.

Has anyone who was cut at Step 2 not gotten an email either indicating that they are moving on, or that their appeal has been denied?

Hi. Just received notification that my round 2 appeal was unsuccessful. While I think I should have won my appeal and moved on in the process, I believe that there is a reason for everything and that great things still lie ahead for me (and everyone else!). Thanks for all the info and support on this board. And may the odds be ever in your favors! I'm incredibly sorry that you weren't successful in your appeal. I think you have the BEST attitude though and I'm taking a lesson from you on that---no matter the outcome for me.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions, ryder. No info is the most maddening of all - you just still don't know.
