I picked early November. I'm local so it just felt randomly right for me for no other reason than that. I was surprised to see the range of dates from October to so late in December (Dec 17). Good luck everyone. I hope we all make the cut.

Am I mistaken or is there no mention anywhere of where the SI is going to be? I'd like to have an idea so I know where to start looking for hotels. I took a date in October.

You might email OPM and see if they will give up the identity of the hotel for the SI. I found it very helpful to stay in that hotel even though it wasn't the cheapest or closest to the WD/LBMT site.

Salvo - check the email that invited you to schedule. Most are reporting a line that says that your SI will be automatically scheduled for the day after your scheduled test date.

Due to conflicts in schedules I chose a November date. Hoping there are no blizzards prior to Thanksgiving .

December 14 for me. Was hesitant about picking such a late date, but I want time to prepare.

I picked late October. It is nice to finally have a date. It was hard to pick a date. Do I select an early date or late date. Finally, I just picked one in the middle (sort of). Velma, did you notice if some dates were closed already? By closed I mean a Monday - Thursday date that is not a holiday or Thanksgiving that would have been available otherwise. Just curious if dates are filling up at all.

I had to change my date today, and there was definitely far less dates available than at 1201 last night. Most Monday dates were already gone.

I would think, since the SI is to be scheduled automatically for the next day, that there would be no Friday dates at all.

Just curious if dates are filling up at all. There were no Monday or Friday dates available, so I think OPM is avoiding those days for the WD/LBMT. I was shocked though to see the large number of dates available to choose from. There are dates starting in October going into December with dates available each week (a few weeks were unavailable - not many). I am wondering if this is indicative of the number of people that will be testing. If so, there will be a large class testing. My date is a Monday.

I find some comfort in the fact that so many of us are sharing the same experience, however remotely. Things seem especially better when I realize that despite the number of issues that I am facing, my internet has not failed, and I don't have to decide whether to wear a dress or a suit. I think I spent the entire weekend waiting for midnight Sunday, while noting the dates that I could not go to DC and trying to figure out when would be best. I ultimately concluded that flying on a Sunday for a Monday test was the best use of my time and allowed me to arrive rested and hopefully better able to perform. I did not want to be first, so I selected the next Monday, which was the 19th of October. I am interested in knowing how much company I will have on the 19th and whether anyone shared my decision-making process or if it is horribly flawed.
