Los Angeles* So this one was a huge struggle musically. There are so many songs about LA and so many great artists who have ties to the city that it was difficult to pick one representative. We are also again stymied by needing SFW music. So I picked 4 songs. 1 a song by a true LA band. 1 a song that is a plaintive ode to LA (also a nostalgic favorite). 1 the most LA song ever recorded. 1 a classic from the 60's. There are 3 ODAR offices in LA. Downtown www.google.com/maps/place/606+S+Olive+St,+Los+Angeles,+CA+90014/@34.0476812,-118.254126,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x80c2c7b4de271985:0x14f35c75ecab6330 West www.google.com/maps/place/12121+Wilshire+Blvd+%23400,+Los+Angeles,+CA+90025/@34.044005,-118.46818,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x80c2bb5c99e4e4f5:0x32c58cb3895cfcc7 and Norwalk www.google.com/maps/place/12440+Imperial+Hwy,+Norwalk,+CA+90650/ 33.916369,-118.066506,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x80c2d2d7f1fb0cc9:0xa0b8a35bc9616738 I am not sure what other agencies if any have offices in LA. If there are any please let us know. *I am combining Norwalk into LA. I probably should have done this starting with Long Beach yesterday.

LA
Los Angeles (Listeni/lɒs ˈændʒəlɨs/ loss an-jə-ləs),[14] officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-largest city in the United States, the most populous city in the U.S. state of California, and the county seat of Los Angeles County. Situated in Southern California, Los Angeles is known for its mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, sprawling metropolis, and as a major center of the American entertainment industry. Los Angeles lies in a large coastal basin surrounded on three sides by mountains reaching up to and over 10,000 feet (3,000 m).
Historically home to the Chumash and Tongva, Los Angeles was claimed by Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo for Spain in 1542 along with the rest of what would become Alta California. The city was officially founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, thereby becoming part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood.
The city is the focal point of the larger Los Angeles metropolitan area and the Greater Los Angeles Area region, which contain 13 million[15] and over 18 million people, respectively, as of 2010, making it one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world as well as the second-largest in the United States. Los Angeles is the seat of Los Angeles County, the most populated county in the United States. The city's inhabitants are referred to as Angelenos.
Nicknamed the City of Angels, Los Angeles is a global city with a diverse economy in entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research. It has been ranked sixth in the Global Cities Index and 9th Global Economic Power Index. The city is home to renowned institutions covering a broad range of professional and cultural fields and is one of the most substantial economic engines within the United States. The Los Angeles combined statistical area (CSA) has a gross metropolitan product (GMP) of $831 billion (as of 2008), making it the third-largest in the world, after the Greater Tokyo and New York metropolitan areas. Los Angeles includes Hollywood and leads the world in the creation of television productions, video games, and recorded music; it is also one of the leaders in motion picture production. Additionally, Los Angeles hosted the Summer Olympic Games in 1932, 1984, and is currently bidding for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Yeah, yeah: perfect weather, beaches and mountains, incredible food, culture, and diversity...
But no NFL team. (Although they do have pro football at USC.)
Plus the early Sunday games start at 10 am local time. Brunch and football? Too weird.

In the words of Dave Loggins:
Please come to LA to live forever California life alone is just too hard to build I live in a house that looks out over the ocean And there's some stars that fell from the sky Livin' up on the hill Please come to LA She just said "No - boy, won't you come home to me?"
And she said, "Hey ramblin' boy why don't cha settle down?" "LA can't be your kinda town" "There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me" "No, no, I'm the number one fan of the man from Tennessee"

When its 100 degrees in New York, it’s 72 in Los Angeles. When its 30 degrees in New York, in Los Angeles it’s still 72. However, there are 6 million interesting people in New York, and only 72 in Los Angeles. Neil Simon

But, he's a New Yorker and they are a tad biased about all matters east and west of the Hudson, which they seem to think is the border between civilization and the Wild Wild West.

Now I suddenly have the urge to go find a double-decaf iced tea with a twist of lemon. I want it enough to skip all the way to Starbucks.
I think it's safe to assume that everyone who is not already robed wants to be in the next (or January) class at FC. Unless, of course, you have a $350K/year job at a firm and outclass the rest of us peons, but I digress. That's pretty much a given on this board. It's admittedly my wish.
But, truly, I think the best class would be the one in which Gaidin matriculates.
