I'm not holding my breath, though. But, now I'm probably going to have a nightmare about getting a 49. Damn, after I have finally stopped compulsively checking the application manager, I will be checking it and this forum at least on an hourly basis until I get my NOR, or my FOAD letter.

Maybe it will be an inverted 49! Best of luck!

Not that I want to fuel the fire, (well maybe I do a little) but I recall that the great pumpkin said her status change to complete occurred one business day (I believe that evening) prior to receiving her NOR.

If you want my humble opinion checking application manager compulsively is a waste of time. It doesn't matter when your status there changes and it sounds like everyone is seeing the same changes. All that really means is that "stuff" is happening. Watch your email (including spam folder) and this board. It won't be 20 minutes from the first batch of NORs hitting inboxes before someone is here telling you about it.

I want to be civil in saying this, so I mean no disrespect. But I disagree. This entire board is replete with folks discussing status changes and related anxiety going back several years. Applicants will be discussing status changes for the next several years as well. There are approximately 800 people waiting for one of the most critical junctures in their lives and if they want to express their thoughts at this stage, more power to them. Perhaps you are being altruistic as tag team Gary chimed in to say, but your testing group had their chance to use the board to sound emotions and thoughts about status change and they did indeed utilize the board for that purpose. I didn't hear you voice this dose of sanity when your group was waiting for changes, two and three years ago. We are not checking app manager compulsively to optimize our time as you seem to suggest. Rather,we know we are wasting time. But with respect, lay off the holier than thou stuff man. Edit: Sorry Gaidan. I was in a bad mood that day and I was too harsh. You are one of my favorite board members and I truly appreciate every comment you make:) Maybe you will see this someday and I hope it makes your day better.

Gaidan's gone down this road already and I think was trying to help. His advice was good and yep, I've been checking the old app manager a lot too lately. In fact, it took me until 430sh yesterday to think of checking my email to see if the NOR was there(just in case)! and checking email too much may be just as silly but i can't believe it took me that long to process, hmmm, what the email says, when it comes, is FAR more important than app manager.
That being said, none of us like seeing that .... see details on top, that's for sure. And to all, although we all seem to have same status at moment, if some of us start to see changes, the rest are going want to know ASAP, that's for sure. Good day to all!

Actually, if you go way back in my comments you will see that I was relieved to be unable to check my status in 2014. I haven't been able to access my ALJ application since 2013. I really was trying to be helpful but if you don't like my advice you're free to do whatever you want include ignore anything I say. If you want holier than thou here it is stop being a jackass when someone is trying to give you advice on what is useful and what is wasteful. I really do believe checking application manager compulsively is a waste of time. You don't know what the changes mean and so any changes don't make sense. If you came to the board to learn from others experience all that checking didn't tell anybody anything until the emails came out.

I'm one of the people whose link to application manager was purged, or something like that. So the little info I can find on usajobs.com doesn't tell me anything. But for some idea of the timing of notifications last time around, I dug out pumpkin's memorable post about that topic. It's edited, from aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/3453/moving-dc-phase-testing-2015?page=26I received my e-mail at approximately 2am Saturday morning (11/7/15) regarding the change in status. That e-mail subject line was "USAJOBS Application Status" and was sent from notifications@usajobs.gov. . . .
The e-mail with my NOR (actually a set of 3 e-mails: one with the NOR; one that explained the NOR; and one that listed appeal rights if you decided to appeal your NOR) arrived in my in-box a little after 2:30 pm on Monday 11/9/15. The e-mail subject line for the NOR was "Notice of Results (NORs) Vacancy ID: ######" and it was sent from "Vacancy ID: ######'
I then received another e-mail on Tuesday 11/10/15 just before 2am, again from notifications@usajobs.gov with the subject line, "USAJOBS Application Status." Fortunately, I knew that was the notification that the NOR e-mails had been converted to .pdf letter format and posted as messages in Application Manager.
Pumpkin also quoted a previous message from another poster who said his status was changed on that Friday 11/6/15, and he got the NOR emails the following Monday. If you go back to read the unedited version of Pumpkin's post, don't get too caught up in what the various status changes might mean. We don't know that things will be the same this time around.

This is one of the reasons I think obsessing over the status changes is pointless. I do not believe you guys will see the same changes we saw or Pumpkin's group saw. I however, would check your emails and spam folders pretty heavily going forward.

To have that kind of response to someone who has probably helped others more than anyone on this Board, your post can create nothing but bad karma for you. Open mouth, insert foot. Well done.

To round out the chorus of postings, my (NOT disagreeessment but assess-ment) is listed as complete, with today's date, and I still have see details at the top. Unfortunately I had a dream earlier this week that my NOR was 61 .... so .... let's hear it for dreams not coming true! I had a dream the other night that I received an 84 - it was one of those wake up and immediately check your email while thinking please be real moments... funny how this process is now invading multiple applicant's dreams. Here's to hoping we'll have knowledge in reality soon!
