I'm in the mood for some Pinot NOR. Groan! That's terrible! I wish I'd said it.

Augustine said the reward of patience is patience. Intellectually, I get it. Practically, the wait is draining. I get that its in the hands of others. However, for what it is worth, SSA has a nice little site called Stressbusters. If anyone is ever in the mood to relax and focus on something other than NORs, I find it very relaxing listening to Tibetan prayer bowls. For what its worth, you may want to try an underutilized employee benefit. For those interested in exchanging anxiety for focused calm, the website is: personnel.ba.ssa.gov/ope/ces/stressbusters/tool_relaxation.htm. They also have Visualization and Imagery should you enjoy that; however, the pictures oddly remind me of the closing scene of Soylent Green. (I know, I'm dating myself).

My experience from 2013 was that the Application Manager status was waaaaaay out of sync (later) than the actual events in the real world. And that was when OPM was still using it! I wouldn't waste time camping out on the App Manager. You will get an email from OPM with your NOR at least a few days before it appears on the App Manager. This makes sense. Better to stalk this board anyway as it has more interesting polls.

Just received a job posing alert for a truck driver position (wouldn't work, can't reach the pedals); hoping this is not a sign of my NOR

My children say that once again I have shamed them by trying to make a hip reference to one of their modern day musicians.

They have issued a cease and desist order. They do this about once a week when I, as they put it, try to act cool.

I'm just waiting for OPM to say those magic words......."you complete me!" Or just "complete" would also work for me!
