Thanks to Gaidan we know that about 30 board members got emails for OMHA interviews in Kansas City or Arlington. My idea for this thread is to know whether people interviewed and whether any of us get hired. On the ODAR hires it is helpful to hear of hiring activity from the board and not have to wait for the FOAD to know if one has been passed over for a round. So, I have been interviewed and submitted my paperwork, which was due by tomorrow, 2/3, and now I wait to hear.

My understanding is that there are 2 separate interviews with OMHA. Have you had just 1 bookman or 2?

I am in the same status as bookman. I interviewed (single interview - Arlington only) and already submitted the requested paperwork. Now I wait.

One would think that nothing would happen until required paperwork has been reviewed. As a result, no action would be expected until sometime after February 3.

Thanks for the welcome back, but I have been busy with a new job and I am not on the site much anymore. I just happened to sign on today and saw the post, so I decided to write based upon discussions with someone else I know.

Thanks to this Board yet again for the great and timely information. I interviewed with OMHA as well and in the interim received my much delayed (DC Bluzzard o' 2016) formal offer for ODAR. Because of the discussion about the oaperwork that is due tomorrow (which had totally forgotten about), reminded me to contact OMHA and withdraw from consideration. Great executive assistant and appears to be a great agency as well!! Tough interview so best wishes to those of you who are offered positions! Truly, you are some ex exceptionally amazing candidates to have successfully scaled this high hurdle! God Bless You all! Congratulations on your SSA ALJ offer Don. Good luck!!!

Don -
Not asking specifics here, but you referred to the OMHA interview as "tough." Tougher than the ODAR interview?

I found it difficult for the same reasons: structured question being read to me; a lengthy answer improvised by me; silence on the line,or a brief response like ok,then another question read to me and so on and on

I agree with these sentiments from people. The interesting thing is that the hearings are primarily telephonic at OMHA, so the "medium becomes the message" (in a way that's only vaguely apt). To the extent credibility is an issue in OMHA hearings (I don't know the rules there), you would have to do it over the phone, so a telephone interview might give them more than just the literal words one is saying as part of their evaluation.

OMHA supervisory attorney position posted on USAJOBS. Unfortunately do not have time now to go back and search. but I thought I saw a posting for a supervisory attorney at OMHA. It may be for internal candidates only. Not sure if it is something a AA at ODAR could apply for. Honestly I did not recognize the category of acceptable applicants referred to.
