I just received this email about a Medicare Appellant Forum, where they'll be addressing ALJ situation:

Re: Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA) Appellant Forum
On February 25, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., OMHA will host the fourth Medicare Appellant Forum via webinar/teleconference.
Based on attendees’ responses to OMHA’s third Appellant Forum, including appreciation for OMHA’s transparency, OMHA is hosting a fourth Forum to keep you apprised of events since we last met in June, 2015, including updates on initiatives OMHA and the Department of Health and Human Services are taking to address the ALJ appeals workload.
The fourth Appellant Forum will have a broad agenda, including information on new initiatives OMHA has implemented, the current status of appeals at OMHA and potential future initiatives. During the Forum, the third phase of the OMHA Settlement Facilitation Conference initiative will be shared. CMS will provide information on initiatives at its levels and the Departmental Appeals Board will present the current status of its workload. We will also have time for questions and answers.
To register for the OMHA Medicare Appellant Forum, please visit the OMHA website at: www.hhs.gov/omha/index.html. In addition, instructions for pre-submitting questions will be provided as part of your registration process.
We look forward to your participation in the OMHA Appellant Forum.
Sincerely,
Nancy J. Griswold
