I'm getting a message that application manager is not available for viewing (although it was earlier this morning), so my gut tells me things are afoot, as in NORs and/or emails notifying some of us that we did not make the cut. Any news is better than being on tender hooks. There has been a couple times in the last two weeks that I've gotten the same message so I don't think it means anything special although I agree that the waiting is very difficult.

Gary, you have connections, it is really hard to post this song; it's been blocked when others, tried to post this. i am impressed.

Curious - I tested and interviewed in mid December 2015. The "external" evaluation status on my application was completed on 2/11/2016. But I still have my overall application status as "See Details Tab". My question is, since the external eval was done 11 days ago, when should I expect an email response? I know it seems like it won't be a good response from what the past statuses have meant, but I would like closure... Thanks guys! I have access to USA Jobs.

I think I just realized I will lose access to my application through USAjobs on March 12, 2016 and will be unable to track my status through there. Maybe that is a good thing??

I suspect we will hear results before the system purges our applications. Because we will lose access at some point, anyone that currently has access should consider printing their responses if they don't have a back up. It could be useful if you get called for an interview, apply to the new ALJ posting when it opens, or apply to other jobs.

Why do you think you will hear anything before the system purges your applications? You are assuming that USAjobs and OPM are one and the same. The application will still exist at OPM because the register will exist until 2018. Just because you can't access it doesn't mean the application disappears. Many of us lost access to our applications in 2013 and still appeared on the register and got NORs in 2014. I think you will get them before the 12th but don't connect application manager status changes or activity to when the NORs go out.

My application status has remained "application status unavailable" since the date I applied in 2013. Even though I have gone through testing and interview, NEVER a status change from status unavailable. Based upon that, I am reading absolutely nothing into what USAjobs says.

At any rate, the point was to print it if you have access before it's gone.

I think people need to stop thinking application manager is some sort of a crystal ball into becoming an ALJ. I regret posting my GAL status update a month ago, I feel like I started this snowball rolling down the hill. But I guess it is better than staring at your navel while you wait for a score. I just cannot stress enough to listen to Gaidin, Prop, me, Gary or the rest of us when we tell you to stop obsessing! Places2go - you must've been a Girl Scout - no self respecting scout would think of just wearing a belt or suspenders when applying for the most important job in their career, right??? I would hate to think an applicant to be a federal administrative law judge would have to be reminded of basics, but we're here to help folks who forgot their suspenders

Ok, I applies in 2013. Got my status complete email and being curious I went to the Application Manager and saw where I could view the resume that was associated with my application. ......well, I pull it up and it's only half there. The resume just ends mid sentence. Is there a way to make sure a complete resume is associated with the application?

I don't think you need to worry - the resume must have been adequate to meet the initial screening for you to be invited to the online testing. Before you go for your interview at Falls Church with SSA, you will be given the opportunity to submit an updated resume. I took advantage of that opportunity, and also brought copies of my updated resume with me to the interview. My interviewers did already have copies of my updated resume in their folders when I arrived for the interview.

I wanted to emerge from ghost status to agree with Judge Pumpkin on her timeline. I'll be joining her in Falls Church for training next Monday, and her timeline was the same for me. My best wishes go to all those facing months of angst over the process, but hang in there. The proverbial light is at the end of the tunnel if you persevere. I also wanted to add a comment about keeping a broad GAL and being willing to give backup choices a chance. I didn't get my first or second choice, but I got my third, which was lucky since I only put in for 3. When I reported on Feb 8, I wasn't sure what to expect. Fortunately, I am in a great city, and, more importantly, the office is terrific with a wonderful staff and great judges. I have a lot to learn, and being in a well organized, professional, efficient office is exciting and incredibly helpful. It makes it a pleasure to come to work. Since we are eligible for 2 days a week of telework after a year, I may stay here forever. My point is that the quality of the office to which you may be assigned is just as important as location. Don't assume big city offices are better than the small town ones that may be out of the way. Good luck to all those waiting on the June class. You can do it.
