My experience at FC was delightful. I arrived way too early for my way too early interview time and during initial reconnaissance of the Palace encountered a wonderful security guard who - seeing I had been dropped at the Palace following a fierce storm - tipped me to the Target parking lot, the Panera Bread, the most beneficial timing of my entrance in relation to my interview time, the ground level elevator, and generally how to access the Palace in the rain. He continued to be the Scarecrow to my Dorothy until I was escorted to the interview (recommending a coffee in the cafeteria, how to get around, etc.). Upstairs, I was offered snacks and ice cold water by a team of smiling assistants. I clicked my heels together three times and am back home. Is this how it always is at SSA? Darn, makes me want this job all over again. Catspaw were you in the morning yesterday or afternoon? I was there for the 1:30 timeslot. Two others. All had our game faces on so no chit chat. I'm not an insider. Target next door has a Starbucks. I highly recommend the Hilton. One mile walk each way. My interview was earlier in the week, jp42k, and I believe I overheard there was a no-show at my timeslot. I'm not an insider either. I feel remiss in not having a hedgehog or puppy basket to leave as a parting gift.

No, Gary, I just assumed the bear hug that I gave everyone I met was sufficient to express my appreciation! No wonder they looked at me quizzically. They were waiting for the gold star treatment.

Yes, they are cute, but keeping three of these things happy is a chore. I am ready to give them to the interviewers. The koalas are fine. Just throw them some eucalyptus leaves and give them a hug and they quiet down.
