Sorry, it was suggested to me privately that I may have inadvertently stepped over one of OPM's lines (don't believe I did, but...). I just couldn't figure out how to delete the thread!

Yes, this is exactly what stevil was writing about in his post. Perhaps Pixie can helpfully merge this thread into the original thread you have so thoughtfully linked to.

I don't think you can delete the thread, but I can. You may delete your own individual posts, but not threads. If you want me to delete the thread I will do so. Seems rather pointless now that your initial post is no more. Pixie

Thanks, Pixie! If there’s a next time I’ll PM you to delete!
You may delete this thread if you want - or you can leave it up and see how far folks will take a nothing thread to nowhere!

I'm a big fan of Seinfeld, so I will leave it up and see what happens. Who knows, people may even pick on bayou.

If you sit down to a meal with multiple sides, do you tend to eat each side completely before moving to the next or do you eat a bite from each interchangeably throughout the meal so that you finish them all generally at the same time?

“Chinese police have used facial recognition technology to locate and arrest a man who was among a crowd of 60,000 concert goers. China is a world leader in facial recognition technology and regularly reminds its citizens that such equipment will make it almost impossible to evade the authorities. The country has been building what it calls "the world's biggest camera surveillance network". An estimated 170 million CCTV cameras are already in place and some 400 million new ones are expected be installed in the next three years. Many of the cameras use artificial intelligence, including facial recognition technology.“ www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-43751276 “In most countries, the existence of a credit system isn't controversial. Past financial information is used to predict whether individuals will pay their mortgages or credit card bill in the future. But China is taking the whole concept a few steps further. The Chinese government is building an omnipotent "social credit" system that is meant to rate each citizen's trustworthiness. By 2020, everyone in China will be enrolled in a vast national database that compiles fiscal and government information, including minor traffic violations, and distils it into a single number ranking each citizen. A lengthy planning document from China's elite State Council explains that social credit will "forge a public opinion environment that trust-keeping is glorious", warning that the "new system will reward those who report acts of breach of trust". Within five years, the government's mandatory system will rank everyone within China's borders.” www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-34592186

I eat one item at a time. Unless it's mashed potatoes and peas - those get mixed in together. Pumpkin pie gets eaten starting with the filling, and then more whipped cream gets put on the crust. Yeah, I know it's weird. It's one of those things that I started as a kid and never found a compelling reason to quit. I like whipped cream, what can I say?
