If one has a phobia re: crocs/gators and/or sharks, I suggest queueing up the movies "Black Water" and "The Reef." Guaranteed thrills! Thanks for the tip; that tells me exactly what to avoid. And let us not forget the snakes, the horrid snakes. I think this one is a rattlesnake. Pixie, this photo is giving me the creeps! And not just because it reminds me of some long-ago opposing counsels!

That article made little to no sense to me. First of all, there are no alligators in Tennessee or northern Alabama. Just too cold for them. Secondly, any meth flushed down a toilet would be so diluted by the time it made it to gator country, its effect on any alligator ingesting it would be negligible. However, it does my heart good to see the police take this alligator threat seriously. Unlike some on this board who don't see them as a problem. Pixie

Though the former prosecutor in me also thought "that is a neat way to ask Defendants to not destroy incriminating evidence before an arrest."

Pixie Pretty sure they were just throwing shade on Alabama and making a joke. To wit: "They’ve had enough methed up animals the past few weeks without our help. So, if you need to dispose of your drugs just give us a call and we will make sure they are disposed of in the proper way." This would be in re: the alabama meth attack squirrel story, which is also dubious. In any event, there are probably enough people flushing their benzos and opioids down the toilet to counteract the meth. Maybe if we flush enough sedatives and SSRI's, the alligators will become really happy and mellow and leave us humans alone!

Whatever one flushes, it shouldn't be steroids. Don't think this is a rattlesnake as the coloring is wrong, but it sure is big. May have eaten some steroids before it was captured.

Here is a guy catching a 6' rattlesnake. Watching this makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

On a [now] more amusing item, the Bobblehead Hall of Fame is offering a "Chance the Snapper" figure for pre-order now. The photo in the paper looked kinda cute.
