Waffle, The interview was by telephone with the Chief ALJ, one ALJ from Miami, and one from Irvine. The Chief Judge read a prepared statement, then had a prepared list of questions. He gave the other two ALJs an opportunity to ask questions, but only one did (the one from Miami). Short and sweet.

Thanks! They said the preferred start dates were January 6th or January 20th, and I told them I would be there on the 6th. How exciting! Congratulations!

Watchful'
Thanks so much for answering my inquiry regarding your interview. It sounds as though it was painless . . . dare I suggest, almost pleasant? We should all be so lucky -- given the opportunity.
What a joyous gift you have received; we know you worked hard for it, earned it, and it is more than WELL DESERVED!
You are blessed in the extreme this Holiday Season (as we all are to be on this exciting life doorstep) and I know you are replete with gratitude at your very good fortune.
The very best for you and your family!

Congratulations to Watchfulwaiting. I'm assuming that the other successful candidates have already been called with their job offers by now even though there hasn't been any other posting of job offers. I realize that not everyone one is a member of this board or some may want to keep their success personal.
I am fairly knew to this process. Is that typically how the process works. Is everyone notified within a short period of time?

I wonder the same thing. I interviewed for the Miami and Irvine positions and have not been called either.
The more time passes, the less likely I consider such a call to be coming.
The chief judge who conducted the interview did say that he would send letters to all candidates he interviewed a few weeks after the interview.
In any event, congratulations to Watchfulwaiting--good show!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I accepted a job offer as an ALJ with OMHA in Miami this morning. Couldn't really post anything until I came home from work. I know I haven't posted a lot of information, but I really do appreciate this board and all of the help that the members have provided. Thanks.

Congradulations to all who accepted offers.
Has anybody seen a complete list of those selected? Can it be posted here when it is out?

But "Rule of Three?" I'm a veteran, so does that mean they have selected another veteran? Not that it matters, but I was just wondering? The Rule of Three does not tell you much. First, there were more than 3 names on the certificate. It is possible you were not one of the three that were considered. Second, if you were one of the three considered, another vet may have been selected, even if that person had a lower score. Third, a non-vet could have been selected over you if that person had a higher score. Fourth, a non-vet with a lower score could have been selected, but a justification to OPM would have been necessary. This is a pain for the selecting team, but something they can usually easily justify if they care to take the time. Your reluctance to show up in January would have been enough justification.
