Can someone please explain some of the acronyms I've seen posted. Some I have been able to figure out - others like HOD, for example, I haven't. Thanks in advance.

HOD stands for Hearing Officer Director. This is a GS-14 position and is the top non-judge position in a hearing office.

List the acronyms and I am sure others will reply as well. Here are some: HOCALJ hearing office chief administrative law judge (thankless position) RCALJ regional chief etc. HOSA hearing office systems administrator (I hope I have that right) keeps the computers, printers, faxes up on running. SA Senior attorney. Writes decisions and helps with legal issues. Now can issue fully favorable decisions in certain circumstances.

If you are serious, I am pretty sure it stands for A(LJ) R(review) PR(ehearing).
