Well, those were unusual responses to my question.

Propmaster, they do appear to be oblique, but good postings all the same. I think your idea is capital, so please do so. We await with baited breath, although I have no idea as to what that term means..

We await with baited breath, although I have no idea as to what that term means.. Random minutiae is right up my alley. Just in case you are thinking of chewing on worms, bartleby, I'll note that it's " bated breath" -- as in, holding one's breath (think "abatement"). I'd actually vote in favor of a separate thread, but I'll read the news either way. I'll also note to SSA (in reference to an earlier comment about hirees): I'm pliable! I'm very, very pliable!

I didn't have strong feelings either way initially, but since this cert actually required some additional interviews, and has some of its own polls (unlike last year's truly supplemental cert, which was like a "stealth" hiring given the lack of info we had on it) maybe it should stand on its own. "Baited" breath... smelling like dead fish. Yes, let's go with the (a)bated breath.

iplawyer, well, that makes sense now.. I don't believe I have ever seen the term written before. Hmmm, interesting language this English is.

Agree with observer53: I'll do it in a different poll.
