Thanks, Odarite. Thought they might be adding a new office there.

Any rumors about the possible number of openings in Milwaukee or Minneapolis? Thanks!

I know that many of you readers may be frustrated at this point but, beyond the fact that every hearing office listed in the FEAI will get at least one judge, we are grabbing at smoke. OCALJ is in contact with the regional offices but the final call belongs to OCALJ. They are not trying to confuse or hide the process. The situation for them is analogous to the Texans at the Alamo. They needed 400 men to man the walls; they had 182. OCALJ is doing its best to distribute resouces (ALJs) where they will have the biggest impact.

Can someone on the "inside" tell me if Dover, DE., is an existing hearing office location, or one to be added in the near future. I do not see it in the directory of SSA office/ALJ locations that was previously posted on this board, but it is one of the locations on the FEAI (?). The directory you have may be out of date. The Dover office was established around 2003-04. Some lists of offices have it listed as "Delmarva."

have all the transfers been completed? how are they impacting the "empty chairs"? have any of the 71 locations dropped out due to transferees? are new locations added? inquiring minds want to know....

To the best of my knowledge none of the 71 have been removed from the table. I am of the opinion that SSA took into account the impact of the transfer list before selecting the sites for new ALJs.
See Jagghagg's post, supra.
