Is there a location/website that identifies the roster of SSA ALJs and their locations around the country ? I don't have any idea about the number of judges at various locations, and would be interested in learning more if the information is available.
I have not located such a list, and perhaps it is not available to the public. If it exists, I am curious about the number of judges in the various cities I have selected to get some idea of the size of the office from one to the next.
Thanks, and continued best wishes to all on the board.

That link didn't work for me. Perhaps its intranet. Yea, I think you are right. Sorry. I don't feel comfortable posting people's names on the internet if the agency has not made it easily available. If it were readily available I would have no hesitancy. HOWEVER, as the candidates from this board are selected (a lot I hope) they can PM me and I will send them the info on the site to which they have been selected.

I agree with aljsouth. www.ssa.gov, the public website of the Social Security Administration, did not provide the information. I recommend that we delete the region IV information posted above, too.

I recommend that we delete the region IV information posted above, too. Done. As a professional courtesy, I would like to request that staff directories or similiar contact information that are not in the public domain be passed through private messages instead of open posts on the forum. Remember, this is an open forum, and whatever you post here is available to the whole world. Thanks.

I will list raw numbers of alj's for sites based on the OCALJ information. Just post in this thread about the sites of interest and beginning next Tuesday I will respond. I am working at home today and, of course, Monday is a holiday.
Caveat: The info is not as up to date as the chief judge's office thinks and do not appear to take recent transfers into account.

Caveat: The info is not as up to date as the chief judge's office thinks and do not appear to take recent transfers into account. I find it frightening that with all the fancy computer equipment and all the stat monitoring that goes on, that a more current list is not available. For my office, an ALJ was listed who moved last summer. Further, we have one of the retired ALJs back and he was not listed. So take that whole listing with a grain of salt (and a margarita, while you are at it!)
