In light of the number of federal employees, it would make sense for SSA to consider location in making the offers. They could avoid paying relocation expenses (if any are to be paid) by offering the federal employees placements near their current residences. I have no idea if they would ever do this or if it is allowed, however.

Just to explain my "other" vote, I work at a legal aid organization, which didn't really fit any of the other categories.

I voted "other" too. I am a private atty. But, the category was "private/corporate". I am not corporate.

I had to vote as "other". I am technically a state employee but I work for the DDS as a Hearings Officer.

My intent was to capture any private practice and any in-house corporate counsel. Alas, it is hard to be concise and precise at the same time!

So where are those people who alleged that there were more than 40-50 ODAR e'ees on the list? The poll above doesn't really show that there are more ODAR than Feds.

So where are those people who alleged that there were more than 40-50 ODAR e'ees on the list? The poll above doesn't really show that there are more ODAR than Feds. There has been more than a little conjecture about the numbers of persons on this cert with ODAR/ORC experience. Please recall that only about 166 scores were ever posted from the roughly 625 scores of those who performed the WD and received an SI. While we may have obtained a valid statistical sample for assessing those scores, would it not be difficult to assume, from the data posted in this thread, any true number of ODAR /ORC applicants who made this cert?

Well, I know of 13 FedROs who were on the list and 7 HO/RO people. Given my limited acquaintance ODAR-wide, I would say 20 people just within my knowledge tends to suggest more than 50 ODARees in toto. I think Cybear's right. People either don't know about this board or don't care to post.

Chalk it up to people not wanting to post; I know of three others who not only are on the certificate but refuse to talk about it, perhaps out of superstition.
