I must live in a high-brow 'burb. I haven't seen Boones Farm for sale where I live. Perhaps it's on the bottom shelf, behind the MD 20/20, the Gallo jug wine and my favorite $3 wine which has a rooster on it,( maybe its a foot labeled wine) I don't see too well on that shelf. By the time I bend down low enough, my damn reading glasses have fallen off!!!

Whatever it is, I think we need to pass the bottle until more offers are extended. A slow sip or two (or three or four) of Kentucky Bourbon would go down smooth just about now.

I'd probably go with something with Scotch. How about a Rob Roy (a Scotch Manhattan): 2 oz. Scotch 3/4 oz. sweet vermouth 3 dashes Angostura bitters Garnished with a maraschino cherry OMG, that's like one of my favorite drinks of all time. Except on a Tuesday night, then it would be a bad time. Unless you got the call, then anything goes! Recommend folks try other types of bitters to see what they like. There are all these new bitters out there! I'm trying not to be bitter !!

Bitter, no. It is what it is. More cities will be hired for, at least you made certs. Some of us have yet to have their cities called!

No luck I think the light is flickering I don't think the number of times a city has been on a cert is indicative of anything. From what I have gleaned from this Board, some of the locations have revolving doors. One of the great things about ODAR is the liberal transfer policy. Some of those who were picked up off the first set of certs have already transferred to new locations, so their original locations are back on this set of certs.
As has been said many times before, it's a good time to be on the Register.

Well, I'm off to Lexington, Kentucky tomorrow to visit my family for the weekend. (Tickets purchased before job offer.) I plan to imbibe one of my favorites: Kentucky mules- bourbon, ginger beer, splash of lime. And lots of 'em.

Back by popular demand, with the research assistance of an alcoholic, er, Valued Board Member who prefers to remain anonymous,The Drink of the Day thread! I'll admit to it.... it is nice balmy summer weather I am and my current obsession is adult frozen beverages. Of course I only indulge on the weekend and after stressful days in the office and oh stressful life events like this process - you know life! Anyway - my current favorite is a Guava Margarita from a local mexican joint. Anyone have a good recipe so I can try to duplicate it at home?

Woohoo!
Thanks for reviving this thread! One of my favorite drinks lately has been the “Bees Knees.” It’s a great summer drink, and it has a serving of fruit in it (see... it is healthy!).
1oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
4oz gin
2oz honey syrup (1oz honey/1oz water shaken together)
Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice and serve up in a martini glass. You can add a lemon peel as a garnish. Makes about 2 drinks.

How about a Silver Sour?
1 egg white Juice of 1 large lemon equal quantities thick apricot juice or puree 1 tsp superfine sugar Club soda
Place egg white in cocktail shaker with four ice cubes, lemon juice and apricot juice. Add sugar to taste and shake well (at least 10 seconds). Strain into wine goblet and top off with club soda. (oh, yes, if desired, first add a finger of rum or tequila). Stir gently.

Never tried that one!
EDIT to add my drink of the day. After completing rounds one and two of the online portion, my drink of choice is a shot of whiskey. Possibly two.
