So, it appears that there have been NO offers today. How is this possible?

So, it appears that there have been NO offers today. How is this possible? Well no offers to active board members...

So, it appears that there have been NO offers today. How is this possible? Well, the numbers on the city poll have gone up today. Just no one is willing to talk. so it appears something's been happening, just not very much.

Does that mean that they are working through cities. Two people in Morgantown, now 2 in Tupelo?

I don't think there will be a change from the "one offer per person" rule from past hiring cycles-- if you turn down the city offered, they are not going to say, "well, how about ---- ?".

So, it appears that there have been NO offers today. How is this possible? I don't think Buffalo and Richmond were checked before today, although Richmond was very early and could represent an offer yesterday. Or people could just be pranking. I guess we'll know when we know.

So I just got a call from a 703 area code that turned out to be my car dealership calling to tell me that a tow truck hit my car in their lot while the car was in for service. So that was cool. To borrow from Funky: "Dammit"

Getting back on thread am's story speaks to an obvious and not fully vocalized, truth. OPM has fundamentally changed how SSA and OMHA now hires. And let me amend that--even SEC. With 168 of you and perhaps more than a few less those who have now gotten cold feet, the old model of three striking their way through a big Cert no longer is viable for Puzzle Palace given the Cert by city paradigm. This means that enormous attention to detail and choice is required to ensure SSA can get whom they want. You get your city preference? Unheard of on these pages. Judges for the past six years have posted that you must forget about getting your choice. Bob and Puzzle Palace (somehow its not right to lump the two even though they are actually one) scoops OMHA who scooped them? Get out of here! Never happened before! And while not detracting from am's singular achievement, it does point out how this is a seller's market now much more than a buyer's one--for all of you. I gotta tell you, you guys will have one heckuva reason to toast each other at the first cocktail party at training--whether its the two SEC Judges, those in OMHA at KC or am's class in Falls Church. I say well done before you get the call, that, of course, is setting a new record for a sloooooooow rollout.
