Good luck to all interviewing later this week! Hopefully those that haven't been scheduled yet will get the call today. Let's keep rolling so offers can commence:)

Good luck! Also I do not think the black magic offerings will assist with the interview at least I didn't see any improvement when I used it.

For all the outsiders, the voucher you need to sign and return is being e-mailed, and may end up in your spam. Mine did!

Got back last night. Stayed at the Hampton Inn, which I highly recommend as it's a well run and equipped hotel (minus bar).
It's a 10 minute walk from the door of your interview, BUT, you'd have to scale a grassy hill to make it in that time. I took a test walk the night before and had to wait 5 minutes for lights to change to cross the street. So, I do not recommend walking. Cab is about $4 (give them instructions provided by SSA via e-mail). If you're worried about a cabbie not wanting to take you such a short distance, the front desk calls cabs 10-15 min. before you need to go, and so the driver won't know where he's going until you're in the cab : ) My driver said it's better than just sitting around....
You can return on foot. Just ask how to get to Hampton Inn and security will direct you to take elevator to garage and walk out at street level.
Oh, the interview, easy peasy. I mean, like in every interview, you get to talk about yourself for about an hour : ) I was asked to keep the content of the interview confidential, so I can just tell you that as people mentioned, it lasts over an hour (mine was 1 1/2 hrs) and everyone in the building is very pleasant. There were 3 other candidates, 2 private practice attorneys and a state Judge. I think all of us, and for sure 3 of the 4 had one city certs.
Oh, in the waiting room, they have water bottles and mints. Good thinking SSA!

We had cookies. Glad you had a good experience, except for the mints, of course.

When I have my interview, I am now expecting mints and cookies, to then be followed by the drink of the day (post interview)

Mine was received by ODAR on November 19 by priority mail delivery. I sent an e-mail a week later to ask if the voucher had been sent in case there might have been a delivery issue on my end. No response yet. Perhaps their priority is to finish interviews, make offers, and finish the vouchers thereafter, especially for non-SSA candidates whose expenses are being treated like an outside vendor.

I don't think the offers have anything to do with this process. Whole different set of people doing the financial stuff. They obviously aren't processing them in order of receipt or interview; mine was mailed regular mail the 20th, the voucher came by email Friday (maybe Thursday)

They obviously aren't processing them in order of receipt or interview; mine was mailed regular mail the 20th, the voucher came by email Friday (maybe Thursday) For insiders, we completed the approval and voucher on the E2 system online. They gave us information at the interview requesting us to email a copy of the final approved voucher to two different people in the Office of the Chief Judge. Both of these folks were also on the emails sent confirming the interview time/place etc. I think the same people may be involved, but the vouchers have nothing to do with the offer process in that they are not dependent upon one another. They are usually very prompt about the payments, so if more than a few weeks go by, you may want to check. I would not contact them until after the holidays though.

I am working on travel arrangements and have not been approved for overnight travel. How much time do I need from landing at the Reagan airport to get the interview (i.e., how long does it to take to get through the airport, get a taxi, get to the building, go through security, etc)? I'm trying to figure out whether I should just pay the extra to stay overnight.
