I emailed all my paperwork on Friday but I have not recieved a call for the interview. It seems like everyone else has. Am I mostaken. Should I call today or just be patient. If you look at the poll here aljdiscussion.proboards.com/thread/2844/status-2nd-cert-interviews, you are not alone at all in not having received a call. There's no way to know how many are still in that status, as once you've voted you can't change your vote. I'm not sure what I would do if I were in the same boat as you, but you are not alone.

I am not calling until next week. The more calls they answer, the less scheduling they get done.

We are going on the third day with no reports of anyone receiving an interview scheduling call...that is what is so odd - at least to me.

Ol' Where is the front door's take:
If you didn't know about this board, would you be so stressed out and worrying about calling to ask when you are going to be contacted for an interview? For anyone who has applied for a federal job recently, that answer is probably no because of how long it normally takes to hear anything regarding an application for a federal position after you receive notice your name has been referred to a selection official.
Without the info on this board, all we would have is an email telling us to turn in our paperwork by this week and that interviews will be conducted soon. This board is wonderful, but it sometimes makes us think about doing things we normally wouldn't because the Joneses are being called.
I know how it feels because I was one of the last ones called for an interview, and it felt like my references were never going to be contacted. But guess what? I received the call for an interview and my references were called. Both of those things are going to happen for every new person on this cert as well, it will just take some time. Good luck everyone.

We are going on the third day with no reports of anyone receiving an interview scheduling call...that is what is so odd - at least to me. It has that operational pause feeling - that happened several times during the offer/acceptance period in July/August. No way of knowing, but they may already be planning additional rounds of interviews - this round felt a little rushed - relatively speaking - and they may have run out of time. I thought it was ambitious to try to fit these in before Thanksgiving. Do we have any raw data as to how many interviews they're getting done in a day? They were scheduling 4 spots, as usual - I guess the only thing we need to know is the number of panels and the number of days.

I agree Ace, my WAG is that they are out of slots through next Friday and are trying to secure interviewers for those of us still waiting (i.e. perhaps early Dec. dates). I have absolutely no intel on this, but it seems to fit the facts...

Bit the bullet, took one for the team, and called Bob...he was very reassuring. Told me there is nothing to worry about, they are still in the midst of the process of scheduling interviews. I didn't want to press for any details or keep him from his work of actually scheduling interviews so I kept it brief. He was very nice, btw. So, hopefully, no need for more of us to call and bother him...for another week or so at least!

And, just to reassure all of y'all, I too was in the terrified Why-Haven't-They-Called-Me? crowd... until yesterday afternoon, when they finally called me and offered me a spot for the middle of next week. They gave me a choice of 3 different slots spread out over 2 different days, so they most definitely haven't run out of slots. I was sweating that lack of phone call, but they did reach me, even me. I also know that, for non-federal employees, they are offering Saturday slots as well. Moral of the story, everybody will most definitely be accommodated.

I believe this is the first confirmed post-Veterans Day interview scheduling call on this Board. Thanks.

And, I just heard back from one of my former supervisors in the private sector -- my background check has begun, as of today (exactly a week after I sent my forms back). Fasten your seatbelts!

For those that have received the interview scheduling call, does it come from the "703" area code?
