William TP: Yes, and that is the way it should be. Getting an offer is a very iffy proposition. Don't plan on it. Plan on forging ahead in your current life.

Welcome to the (August email) group! When did you test/interview? I went to DC earlier this month.
Does anyone have an idea of whether the testing/interviewing is officially over (i.e., they've exhausted the available dates offered)?

I am pretty sure Christina is correct - the last week available for testing was 12/14 according to a poll on Polling Palace. Seemed that reports from that week indicated testing during that final week was pretty light.

The next thing that happened in 2013 was people started noticing changes in their status in Application Manager. That started within a few weeks of the conclusion of testing in December for us. I have no idea if that timing will be repeated.

I'll start keeping an eye on Application Manager.

And I was having nice inner peace and kumbaya thoughts earlier today. I feel like Dustin hoffmans character in the kungfu panda movies now...

I'm in the "group of losers" also. I was completely at peace with the decision and had not given it much thought until the email in August. The email was a blessing and a curse. I'm glad I'm still in the running (at least until my exam and interview are graded) but now there is one more thing to worry about. I'm a sole practitioner and I'm at the point where I have to invest more for the business. It would be great if I knew something before I had to take on more risks but the world isn't built that way. It's full speed ahead until I hear something. Good luck to everyone. I am in a similar situation. Didn't those that received NORs/Certs in late November test in Washington in August? If so, that would point to NORs/Certs in January for those that tested in October, all things being equal. I have read several threads here, it seems the speculation is NORs/Certs as early as January or as late as May for the fall testers. Anyone got a better handle on this timeframe?

I think the NORs for the Oct-Dec group will be out prior to a new exam which has an April 2016 deadline.

Couple NOR comments from reading board. The aug/Septgroup ggot resultsIin november. However they were a substantially smaller group than the Oct Decgroup. I am part of the most recent group. I imagine we will get results first quarter of this year. But that is just another step in this process which has aptly and repeatedly been described as a marathon and not a sprint. I do not see how this is the best process to get the best results. The main reason I am still in this game is the lack of other movements up in my career. 3 years from application and still in the process you lose a level of enthusiasm. Had this been a 6 month process I might have sustained such excitement that iwould have been eextremelyflexible in taking a job anywhere. Do not misunderstand iam glad to be in the process but it is a discouraging process in many ways. If this board did not keep me grounded and informed I surely would have lost all interest.

I don't mean to sound like Pollyanna, but I think Gaidin heard they were grading the WD on a rolling basis, which likely means an earlier rather than later release. They have a class starting in February which means by April they could start training another class. I don't remember the number of ALJ trainees they can accommodate at an one time, but its probably under 100. So unless SSA can expand the training facilities, I am thinking they have to move at a fast pace to hire the 150 or so judges they have each year through attrition, plus the 250 they have pledged to hire as new judges. So unless they start churning out classes every other month, how can they possibly do the hiring they have projected? Opening the application process again will not net new additions to the register until the first quarter of 2017 at the earliest. So the group who tested from October-December 2015, will likely add anywhere from 600-800 new candidates to the register from which SSA can pull city-certs. They likely skimmed the cream of the August-September high scorers with this last cert. So releasing the NOR's for the Oct-Dec 2015 test takers is the only way they will have enough candidates to choose from to meet their hiring demands this year. My prognostication is that the fickle finger of fate will have those NOR's graded and ready for release yet this January. Alas, alack, I am but one voice crying out in the wilderness...."RELEASE OUR NORS" give us our scores, so we can move on with our lives already.

Does anyone know what our status is supposed to say now? i can't remember what mine said on Dec 29th. sigh...... i am curious about people in the oct-Dec group in particular as we are such an anomaly. not sure we can use our dear colleagues notes from 2013.

And then there are those of us that cannot view any change in status due to being children of the now defunct Application Manager.

That is a good point. I am one of those former application manager users and it was problematic but in some ways less stressful.

Mine currently indicates "Reviewed" and "More Information" under status in USAJobs, but shows the last update was in March of 2014. When I click the "More Information" tab it takes me into Application Manager, and then under status mine reads "Complete" under both the Assessment Questionnaire and the External Assessment. I would be interested to hear if anyone sees anything different.
