I suggest your full Captain America costume, including mask and shield. I do not want to recycle my interview outfit. I would! You obviously did well in your interview, so it's a good luck charm. No one but you knows what you wore that day, either.

Note: I hope I do not get reported as missing if I miss curfew during ALJ training. Well, I can't speak for the boy's dorm monitor... Glad you're there safely, I'm excited for you :-) Thanks. Internet access is bad over here right now. Now, red, blue, green, tie? White, blue, stripe shirt? Decisions, decisions, decisions! Whoa! I thought the robe would hide a lot, like the jeans and Hawaiian shirts I planed to wear

Seriously though, other than the first day and graduation day, FC training is pretty business casual. Enjoy it.

But I suggest a google search for "business casual" before you pack. It was not as casual as I expected. You don't need your bowties, though.

Greetings fellow Board Members. Tomorrow, I will begin my trip to my new duty station. I will attempt to avoid the 2016 blizzard. It has been a long road to the new position. I believe almost three years from the day I first applied. I remember all of the support I got while I was a lurker. The same holds true once I became a non-lurker. Thank you Pixie and ALJD for creating and maintaining this forum. I really thank all of you for the support and explanations you have provided over the years. You are an invaluable support group! My best wishes are upon you! May your dreams become a reality. I hope to one day meet Gaiden, Sealaw, Gary, LucklyLady2 and many others as members of the ALJ Corps. I am looking forward to meeting my fellow six and the rest of my classmates. I must admit that I am a bit concerned upon beholding the Great Pumpkin! I think she is going to steel the show! It will be a great class! See you soon!

Glad those traveling to FC are arriving safely. But it raised a question for me. Is start date February 8 at duty station for this hiring class? Or was offer to report time in FC shorter than I thought? Or just one person excited to become an ALJ and jumped in their car Jonas or no Jonas and headed to FC?

I'm actually pretty sure Phoenix never said he was going to FC. Just because he drove through a storm doesn't mean it was to FC or even DC.

Start date for new hires in home office is 2/8 with Falls Church training kicking off on 2/29. Maybe the Six have a different home office report date or maybe folks have to get there early to settle in or find housing etc.

Good point Gaidan. Oh yeah the world does not revolve around FC.

Weren't the six offered January start dates back in the day when they expected a large group starting in January? I think that explains why they got to their duty stations earlier than their classmates.

I wish I knew who got hired. I'll admit that of late the demands on my time have become more acute. Is there any way we can list those Members who are not lurkers can be listed herein? Locales are not needed...

I think I read a post somewhere on/in here that set it at 1-25-16 Yes, as one of the six, I can confirm a Jan 25 start date and a Feb 29 training date. We are just getting a longer time in the HO before reporting to FC.

We are just getting a longer time in the HO before reporting to FC. Thats 'cause your all special! When I arrived to my basic officer training, the Coast Guard screwed up and had a dozen of us show up a week earlier than the rest of the class. We got one more week of "knife and fork school" because we were special

I wish that were true. Then we would be the Magnificent Seven! I would be one of the survivors. Do you want something else to ponder? Ponder the fact that although six, five started.
