hopefulop--hope all went well. It occurs to me that we shouldn't perhaps expect more in human factors--after all it's styled the Office of Personnel Management, not Human resources or other more fuzzy names. So they--and we--manage. Hoping is coping. Have to say i am glad its over. Honestly i only found one part of the three exceptionally difficult. As far as logistics i moved to the Embassy to make it easier on myself given i didnt know the time slot of my SI and not familiar with the area. Of course i got a late afternoon time slot but that was OK. Alexandria is neat area down by the waterfront and there is a free trolley directly across from the hotel that continually makes the loop down there. Good luck to everyone. Now the waiting restarts for me! Yes, that is Old Town. Right around Duke Street and King Street and then down toward the water where Old Town widens out. It is a fun place to hang out. Reminds me a bit of the West Village back years ago when I would go there. Pixie

The Hon. Pixie, J. a punker? I can just hear you hummin'
as you deal with a pro se schizophrenic!
<aube O saw adofferemt Alexandria last time I was there but I think Alexandria has a greater quotient of GOP types than hippies, true jazz types, Ginsberg wannabies--maybe in the Olde Torpedo Factory just gettin' started days, but now only echoes seem to remain. Book Stores are more Brentanos than movement & poetry purveyors. Or is there another part, a darker yet lighter Old Town we need to know about?

When you sign in, just look at the listed & numbered names on the sign-in sheet. Counting is not necessary. Very best of luck to you!

Today 9/26 we have 32 testing. I think 11 males. Mostly white but a few minorities. Seems like a nice group. At least 3 from the board. A couple were talking about staying at the State Plaza so I asked if they were on the board. One was on here the other not. I sat next to another person for the board who told me she'd be here and she's awesome. About to eat some opm food and then logic my way to freedom. Good luck to everyone later this week.

No one from the board did the WD/LBMT LAST Thursday (9/22) No one has reported in for the 22nd yet. If no reports come in, I'll put it in for a 30 which seems to be the average at this point! I suspect the numbers will start dropping in Feb/March, but for now we are going strong and filling that room every day!

The OPM cafeteria is actually very good - better than school cafeteria food.
Let me know how your Freedom ride went - I think my ride was taking me to the eighth ring of the inferno:
"Rhetoric is essential for civilized life when used wisely. However, eloquence without wisdom--far worse even than wisdom without eloquence--is an evil that can "corrupt cities and undermine the lives of men"

That way later obsessive number crunchers can properly agonize over it.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the board and appreciate all the information and helpful tips. I am scheduled to go into DC for my testing in November. Question - for the written assessment, do they provide a keyboard with the laptop or do they require you to type on the laptop?
