I was advised this afternoon that I can delay my report date to 6/22, so I will now be in the June class too. (going to Cleveland).

I, too, am looking forward to seeing you all at our July training. Although July in Baltimore is probably better suited to cold beer, I was pleased to see that there are at least 23 wineries in Maryland that one could visit if so inclined. www.marylandwine.com/ (I never would have guessed.)

Hi all. I've moved my start date to April so I won't get a chance meet you (at least in this class). Good luck.

I have been trying not to focus too much on the whole ALJ thing since I'm in the penultimate class and it just seemed like June 23 was never going to arrive.
My current job has obliged, by keeping me busier than I've been in the last 3 years here.
But between the email from one of the new ALJs in my soon-to-be office who was lucky enough to start last week and the information in the mail yesterday about training -
It's starting to feel like this might actually happen.
Is anyone else getting excited?

I start on 6/23 also, and I am getting very excited about this new adventure. It has been so chaotic at my old office, that I have had little time to think ahead. But, I am close to completing my remaining work, and hope to take 2 weeks off before starting the new job. I am looking forward to the training in Baltimore, and have even bought a couple of new outfits to pack for the trip. lee

I am ready. The wait of the extra 2 months is taking its toll. I just want to get started with the new job.

I am counting down the days I have left at my state govt. job. I too have been kept very busy this month with work. It wasn't planned by my employer. It's just the cyclical nature of things. I have come to the realization that I will not be able to complete every thing before I leave for my new office. I am also really excited about my impending move and new position. I am looking forward to meeting all of you at training in Baltimore. In fact, I will be in Baltimore this weekend on a shopping excursion with my spouse. ;D

It is about time for us to gather!
Are most people arriving at the Residence Inn (Inner Harbor) Sunday afternoon? Any ideas as to meet sometime that evening? At the hotel?

I am excited about the training, and already have a guidebook for Baltimore. I arrive around noon on Sunday. Is anything scheduled for that afternoon?

There is supposed to be a reception for ALJ's @ 6:30 from what I hear.
The people in my office have been very nice and affable. The office space is good and comfortable. I've sat in about 8 hearings so far and we have a judges' meeting Monday morning. Some of us have a second monitor but not the thin one, but they are on order.
Looking back on the posts, the following are cited as June class members:
awcpurple, bettrlatethannevr, biker, fogcity, govtattorney, hopeful2, justfoundthisboard, lark, lawyer, lee, lurker, newalj, nightowl, secondchance, semipa, skibum, southerner, waffle, wino.
Did I miss anyone?

Hey, all Forum members who are currently in Baltimore. We need to identify ourselves to each other. Still haven't met everyone...

Hi Y'all!
Good to see everybody this evening at the hotel for dinner and libations and later for drinks and onion rings at Burke's across the street. Glad to finally attach some faces to the handles on this site. Still a few more people to identify--see y'all in class tomorrow.

There were definitely some surprises (to me, at least). It is cool to attach faces to screen names (even cooler to share beers, onion rings, and groans over the Burke's proprietors bad jokes). And, of course, to be able to finally thank SemiPa in person for all his hard work tracking the stats when the scores came out.
